The <b>Radiology Technologist</b> will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and usage of appropriate protection standards.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
Essential Functions:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Demonstrates competency in positioning of all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding and address any questions or concerns.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations and provides patient with radiation protection and safety in accordance with prescribed methods.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies in the department. Compliance with all OrthoCarolina policy and procedures.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Assists with the transportation of patients between the examination module(s) and the Radiology department. Assist with patient flow in the examination module(s) as directed by a supervisor.</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
Skills and Abilities:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment, (i.e. Siemens/GE/Philips).</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Skill in proficient use of various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Skill in positioning patients properly and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>

Qualifi</b><b>cations</b><b>:</b></p></div><div><ul><li><p>
Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>
Professional license or certification requirements:</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>

We are looking for a full-time Clinical Assistant in our Matthews clinic.
</b></p></div><p></p><div><p>The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and partnering with the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.</p></div><p></p><div><p><b>

A Typical Day:</b></p></div><div><p>
A typical day for the clinical assistant involves collaborating with and providing clinical and administrative support to the healthcare practitioner to ensure the delivery of high quality, compassionate patient care. The clinical assistant greets patients as they escort them to the exam room. They obtain and document past medical/surgical histories, vitals, patient medications and allergies in the EHR system (EPIC). This role assists the practitioner with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures, in addition to cleaning and sterilizing rooms and equipment after each encounter. Some day-to-day tasks include suture/staple removal, assisting with casting/bracing, and assisting with injections. A pivotal job function for our clinical assistants is to educate patients through booklets/instruction sheets prior to minor procedures in accordance with physician instruction. This position will also orchestrate administrative duties which may include ordering supplies, stocking rooms, responding to patient messages, prescription refill requests, filing documents, and monitoring work queues in the EHR system.</p></div></div><p></p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
