Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant and Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting. The Physical Therapist Assistant will play a crucial role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.</li><li>Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, and modalities as prescribed.</li><li>Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in compliance with medical terminology standards.</li><li>Educate patients on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies to enhance recovery.</li><li>Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.</li><li>Maintain a clean and safe working environment while adhering to facility protocols and safety guidelines.</li><li>Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in physiotherapy.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.</li><li>Experience in various settings such as acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and home health is preferred.</li><li>Strong understanding of care plans and discharge planning processes.</li><li>Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.</li><li>Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy while providing patient-centered care.</li><li>Familiarity with rehabilitation techniques and therapies used in physical therapy practice.
