Position Overview

The Network Operations Analyst will perform network monitoring, reporting, and facilitate recovery from degraded or failed services in support of the US Government customer&rsquo;s Network Operations Center (NOC) and Service Monitoring Center (SMC). This position will provide technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions. This position will also investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software problems related to monitoring tools. 
Night Shift: Monday- Thursday- 7:30 pm-6:30 am EST 
Major Activities
<ul>
<li>Plan, brief, and execute efficient Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI) with minimized impact to daily operations.</li>
<li>Monitor and support performance of critical infrastructure, to include network, storage, database, Mainframe, and other components and services. May include support during non-core hours.</li>
<li>Monitor and assess speed and performance of IT services, websites, and end-user assets.</li>
<li>Manage service or infrastructure outages or degradations via ticket creation and coordination with Help Desk, technical Subject Matter Experts, or support agencies for recovery.</li>
<li>Open, manage, and close service status flags for outage or server degradations. Maintain ongoing monitoring and communication of service flags through phone, email, and other means.</li>
<li>Investigate and document recovery and root cause of outages.</li>
<li>Support and maintain monitoring tools, researching, and testing improvements for recommendation and implementation.</li>
<li>Perform tool assessments to opportunities to improve performance or accuracy of notifications.</li>
<li>Create and update documentation needed to configure, operate, and recover monitoring tools and capabilities, Common Operating Procedures (COP), and other processes.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as appropriate and as assigned.</li></ul>

Position Overview

The Network Administrator configures and maintains networks for remote recruiting stations, including working with ISPs to troubleshoot circuit issues and installing or upgrading routers, printers and Wi-Fi access points. Support is provided to users experiencing issues with Wi-Fi and remote network access. This role responds to incidents, restores service during outages or degradations and manages network-related assets and services across RSN/eRSN environments. Responsibilities include ensuring reliable network operations at assigned remote recruiting stations (RSIDS/locations). 
Major Activities
<ul>
<li>Install, integrate, sustain, recover and manage the lifecycle of network devices across all supported environments and sites.</li>
<li>Coordinate with external agencies to configure network circuits and VPNS for for Production and COOP sites across NIPR and SIPR environments.</li>
<li>Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and outages, schedule upgrades and collaborate with network architects to optimize performance.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents and restore service during network degradations and outages.</li>
<li>Report on network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and support related efforts.</li>
<li>Collaborate with system and network engineers on implementation and project planning efforts.</li>
<li>Configure TCP/IP, network interfaces and IP security to support network operations.</li>

Position Overview

As a Senior Network Administrator, the individual will design, build, support, administer, maintain, patch network devices while responding to incidents, and recovering from service degradations and outages. In this role, the Senior Network Administrator will support all network capabilities across all supported environments/enclaves. 
Major Activities
<ul>
<li>Design, install, integrate, sustain, patch, recover, and manage the lifecycle of network devices across all supported environments and sites.</li>
<li>Plan, coordinate, execute, troubleshoot, and document change requests, as well as both monthly and out-of-cycle ASI events, to perform moves, adds, and changes to network services and technologies, and apply and validate cyber security patches are installed on managed assets.</li>
<li>Coordinate with external agencies for Production and COOP sites for network configuration of the circuits and VPN on both the NIPR and SIPR.</li>
<li>PPS (Ports, Protocols, and Services) development and maintenance for both Production and COOP environments.</li>
<li>Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.</li>
<li>Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.</li>
<li>Report network operational status by gathering/prioritizing information; managing projects.</li>

This Software Engineer position will be part of a strong team providing software engineering support to design, develop, operate and maintain software programs across multiple platforms, technologies and business units. Software engineering support also includes the assessment, maintenance, documentation, modernization, testing, and implementation functions. Responsibilities will include the production of new systems and web applications, as well as support of legacy systems.
