Role: Active Directory / Windows / VMWare Engineer
Location: Irvine CA
Duration: Full time / Contract to hire
Experience<ul><li>
10+ years experience in large Enterprise environments with thousands of users and hundreds of servers and critical Enterprise Applications.</li><li>
Strong understanding of overall IT Infrastructure concepts including data center, compute, storage, networking, security, identity, DR, HA, etc.</li><li>
Extensive administration of on-premises Active Directory including capture of FSMO roles and Forest/Domain level upgrades.</li><li>
Expert level knowledge of AD concepts and objects including Forest, Site, Domain, Trust, OU, GPO.</li><li>
Expert level Powershell experience, creating and modifying custom scripts to report and perform bulk actions on AD objects, systems, and integrated technologies.</li><li>
Expert level technical knowledge and administration experience of Windows Server 2008 - 2019.</li><li>
Extensive hands-on experience with VMware, vSphere, and vCenter design, administration, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.</li><li>
Working knowledge of Windows Server authentication methods and integration of 3rd party applications (ADFS, LDAP, SAML, Kerberos)</li><li>
Strong capabilities with MS Office/365 tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Visio, Teams, etc.</li></ul>
Role and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Manage and maintain Active Directory leveraging scripts and automation wherever applicable.</li><li>
Administration and management of Windows Servers through full life-cycle.</li><li>
Administration and capacity planning of VMware multi-cluster environment.</li><li>
Supporting and adhering to change management process.</li><li>
Perform scripting of administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell.</li><li>
Develop scripts for automating processes within the environment.</li><li>
Collaboration with network, InfoSec, storage, data center, vendors, and other stakeholders in support of the running environment and project initiatives.</li><li>
Participation in triage and troubleshooting for all responsible technologies.</li><li>
Develop and maintain technical documentation describing the environment.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader">
