Oula is seeking a <b>Staff Midwife</b> to join our growing maternity care practice in <b>North Carolina</b>. This role is ideal for a thoughtful, clinically strong midwife who is passionate about delivering patient-centered, judgment-free care and excited to practice within a collaborative, team-based care model.</p>
<p>
As a Staff Midwife, you will provide <b>full-scope midwifery care</b> across the perinatal continuum while working closely with midwives, obstetricians, nurses, and other care team members to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed care. You will play an important role in bringing Oula's clinical care model to life while contributing to a supportive and inclusive patient experience.</p>
<p>
This is a <b>full-time position</b> with a flexible schedule that includes clinical care (prenatal care, gynecology, labor and birth, postpartum care) and rotating call coverage.</p>

Key Responsibilities</b></h2>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Clinical Care</b></h3>
<ul><li>Provide full-scope, evidence-informed midwifery care, including gynecologic, prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care</li>
<li>Deliver care across outpatient clinics, hospital-based settings, and virtual visits</li>
<li>Support physiologic labor and birth while recognizing when escalation or consultation is indicated</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with obstetricians, nurses, medical assistants, doulas, care coordinators, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide whole-person care</li>
<li>Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients during and between visits to address questions, concerns, and care planning</li>
<li>Utilize digital tools and clinical platforms to document care, support patient engagement, and coordinate with the broader care team</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Collaboration &amp; Quality</b></h3>
<ul><li>Participate in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives</li>
<li>Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards, and evidence-based guidelines</li>
<li>Engage in chart reviews, peer feedback, and continuing education to support high-quality care</li>
<li>Identify clinical concerns, system gaps, or patient safety issues and escalate appropriately</li>
<li>Contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive team culture</li>

<ul><li>Active <b>North Carolina licensure as a Licensed Midwife (LM)</b> or eligibility for licensure prior to start</li>
<li><b>AMCB certification</b> as a <b>Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)</b></li>
<li>Experience providing full-scope continuity of midwifery care from outpatient clinic to in hospital birth clinics preferred</li>
<li>Experience caring for diverse patient populations with a wide range of clinical and social needs</li>
<li>Strong professional references and a reputation for providing high-quality, patient-centered care</li>
<li>Experience with telemedicine or virtual care delivery preferred</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Preferred Skills</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Early pregnancy loss options counseling and medical management</li>
<li>Familiarity with Perinatal Mental Health</li>
<li>Basic bedside sonography skills (1st Trimester Viability and positioning confirmation)</li>
