About the Role

You will be responsible for designing and coordinating learning, training, and staff development initiatives that strengthen performance, build leadership capacity, and promote a mission-driven culture. This role works closely with program leaders and staff at all levels to identify development needs, deliver practical training solutions, and ensure employees have the tools and support needed to thrive. You will be the point of contact for Our House&rsquo;s HRIS system, BambooHR, and for performance reporting. 
What You&rsquo;ll Do
<ul>
<li>Assess staff development needs through surveys, feedback, and collaboration with department leaders.</li>
<li>Create an annual learning and development plan aligned with the organization&rsquo;s mission, strategic priorities, and available resources.</li>
<li>Support the creation of clear role competencies and skill-building pathways</li>
<li>Manage onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a welcoming and consistent new-hire experience.</li>
<li>Develop accessible learning materials such as guides and job aids</li>
<li>Support the development of supervisors through targeted training and opportunities.</li>
<li>Partner with managers to create development plans for individuals and teams.</li>
<li>Foster peer learning through internal knowledge-sharing sessions and community-of-practice groups</li>
<li>Assist with the performance review cycle, including training managers on feedback and goal-setting best practices.</li>
<li>Maintain tools and resources that help staff track professional growth and development goals.</li>
<li>Manage the annual learning calendar, assist individuals in tracking participation, and ensure programs are accessible and inclusive.</li>
<li>Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and outcomes.</li>
<li>Coordinate logistics with external facilitators, training vendors, and venues as needed</li>
<li>Coordinate new hire orientation and serve as a liaison between all new team members and their respective supervisors</li>
<li>Assist national service members and staff in assessing their professional development needs and wants</li>
<li>Support the planning and logistics of the all-team retreat</li>
<li>Provide support in the background check process for staff and national service members.</li>
<li>Strong ownership of HRIS and people-data governance and integrations.</li>
<li>Apply expert knowledge of human resource compliance, keeping accurate and up-to-date records for staff credentialing.</li>
<li>Oversee people data reporting, delivering dashboards and metrics such as headcount and attrition to inform workforce planning and performance reporting.</li>
<li>Provide high-level customer service to potential partner organizations, current partners, and internal staff</li>
<li>Be a strong champion for Our House, its mission, and its clients both externally and internally</li>
<li>Conduct other duties as assigned to fulfill Our House&rsquo;s mission</li></ul> 


What You&rsquo;ll Bring
<ul>
<li>3&ndash;5 years of experience in learning and development, training, or organizational development; training and development, and nonprofit experience preferred.</li>
<li>Experience designing and facilitating adult learning. Previous National Service experience preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience implementing new strategies to achieve program goals</li>
<li>Attention to detail</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills</li>
<li>Experience using computers for a variety of tasks</li>
<li>Competency in Google Workspace or other applications, including Word and Excel</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people</li>
<li>Demonstrate respect for the dignity of all people and values diversity and empowerment</li>
<li>Must be trustworthy, hard-working, positive, and adaptable</li></ul> 


Requirements
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li>
<li>Must possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license and vehicle to use in performance of job. Position requires some travel within Central Arkansas.</li></ul>
