Agent. We are now investing ina new VisualAgentBuilder to help customers define and operationalize strategies, tactics, and goals in a more powerful, easy‑to‑use way.</div><div></div><div><br>
As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you&rsquo;ll shape how modern sales workflows are designed, visualized, and executed at Outreach. You&rsquo;ll lead the architecture and implementation of rich client experiences like the VisualAgentBuilder canvas and improve high‑impact surfaces like Tasks, Sequences, and Research Agent UIs. You&rsquo;ll work closely with</div><div>
designers, product managers, and platform teams to ensure our experiences are performant, accessible, observable, and scalable across the app. You&rsquo;ll own frontend features end‑to‑end, drive client‑side best practices, and partner with experimentation and insights teams to close the loop between workflows, data, and measurable outcomes</div><div>

<div><div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Your Daily Adventures Will Include:</b></h3><div><div><ul><li>
Partnering with product managers, designers, and analysts to deeply understand how sellers use Outreach workflows (Sequences, Tasks, Triggers, Rulesets, Task Flow) and build experiences that directly improve outcomes like meetings booked and opportunities created.</li><li>
Leading frontend design and implementation for highly visible experiences such as Tasks, Sequences, and the new VisualAgentBuilder, and iterating on already‑released surfaces like Research Agent, with a strong focus on client usability, task completion, and performance.</li><li>
Working closely with clientplatform andshared frontend infrastructure (design system, core packages) to ensure experiences are consistent, performant, accessible, observable, and scalable across the Outreach web application.</li><li>
Setting technical direction for the team&rsquo;s frontend architecture and helping shape the engineering vision for an enterprise‑grade workflow platform that connects workflows, insights, and outcomes.</li><li>
Prototyping and validating new concepts quickly&mdash;such as outcome‑driven workflows, &ldquo;next best action&rdquo; UX, goal/target visualization, or new VisualAgentBuilder interactions&mdash;before investing in full solutions.</li><li>
Looking up and down the stack (client performance, API design, telemetry, experimentation) to identify the best return on investment for a given customer pain point, with a strong bias toward measurable improvements in activity completion and feature usage</li><li>
Working on some of the most visible surfaces in Outreach, where changes to Task Flow, Sequence states, or workflow visualization are immediately felt by customers and internal teams.</li><li>
Improving the team and company by mentoring other engineers, driving technical reviews, interviewing candidates, and leading initiatives that raise the bar for frontend quality, performance, and developer experience.</li><li>
Owning relationships with partner engineering teams and collaborating with product, design,and go‑to‑market stakeholders to deliver end‑to‑end, outcome‑focused workflow solutions</li></ul></div></div></div></div>
<div><div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></h3><div><div><ul><li>
7+ years of professional software development experience, with significant time spent building modern, user‑facing web applications.</li><li>
Proven success developing and shipping large‑scale web applications, with strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and React (or a comparable modern framework) as used in Outreach&rsquo;s web frontend.</li><li>
Experience working within a modern frontend ecosystem, including bundlers/build tools, test runners, and API/GraphQL clients, and integrating with shared design systems and reusable client packages.</li><li>
Exposure to cloud‑based service architecturesand integrating frontend applications with backend services (e.g., services implemented in languages such as Java, Go, or C++ or similar), including considerations for performance, reliability, and observability.</li><li>
Familiarity with experimentation and analytics tooling (e.g., AB testing platforms, feature flags, client‑side instrumentation) and using telemetry to inform UI decisions and measure impact on outcomes (task completion, feature usage, sequence effectiveness).</li><li>
Proven track record of senior or staff‑level technical leadership in a strong engineering culture&mdash;setting technical direction, driving architecture, and successfully delivering complex, multi‑team projects.</li><li>
Ability to set and uphold technical and cultural standards for frontend engineering, including code quality, accessibility, performance, testing, and operational excellence of the experiences you own.</li></ul></div></div></div></div><br>

<div>As a Full-Stack Software Engineer in the Support Team at Outreach, you will have the opportunity to leverage AI and cutting-edge technologies to empower Outreach&rsquo;s Technical Support Engineers (TSEs) to deliver excellent customer service at scale.</div>
<div>This is senior individual contributor role will primary work on backend systems for an AI-powered support troubleshooting platform. This includes implementing AI tools that improve TSE efficiency, automate workflows, and integrate disparate tools into a unified interface. While the role is backend-heavy, the engineer is expected to be comfortable designing and implementing frontend components when needed, particularly for internal tools where usability and clarity are critical. This role is ideal for engineers who consider themselves backend engineers with solid frontend instincts, rather than frontend specialists.</div>

<li>Design, build, and maintain backend services using Python.</li>
<li>Develop and evolve RESTful APIs consumed by frontend and internal tools.</li>
<li>Build data ingestion and processing pipelines for unstructured and semi-structured data, including: emails, chat transcripts, call or meeting transcripts, internal documentation</li>
<li>Contribute to GenAI workflows such as retrieval, summarization, and reasoning.</li>
<li>Ensure backend services are reliable, observable, and production-ready</li>
<li>Build and modify frontend components as needed for internal tools.</li>
<li>Implement simple, intuitive user workflows for: submitting context or issues, viewing AI-generated insights and recommendations, navigating supporting data and sources.</li>
<li>Work with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React or similar.)</li>
<li>Ensure frontend components integrate cleanly with backend APIs.</li>
<li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack.</li>
<li>Participate in and contribute to code reviews.</li>
<li>Follow best practices for error handling, logging, and testing.</li>
<li>Maintain a high quality bar for both backend and frontend code.</li>

<li>8&ndash;10+ years of backend software engineering experience.</li>
<li>Deep expertise in Python for building production backend systems.</li>

<li>Working experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Vue, or similar.)</li>
<li>Comfort working across backend and frontend codebases as needed.</li>
<li>Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP.)</li>
<li>Experience in teams that practice: code reviews, CI/CD, shared ownership of services.</li>
<li>Experience building internal tools or platforms.</li>
<li>Exposure to GenAI / LLM-based systems.</li>
<li>Familiarity with frontend UX considerations for operational users.</li>
