Position Overview</b></h2><p>
We are looking for a talented and adaptable <b>Application Engineer</b> to become our inaugural IC team member in Europe. In this role, you will become an expert in our AI vision inspection cameras, support customer demonstrations pre-sale, and assist with post-sales deployments.</p><p>
This role calls for strong industrial automation expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently and directly with customers. As the dedicated local expert, you will act as the primary technical contact for European customers, ensuring swift and reliable support as well as optimal system performance.</p><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h2><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
System Maintenance &amp; Support</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Maintain and optimize Overview.ai vision inspection cameras across customer sites in Europe</p></li><li><p>
Provide rapid troubleshooting to minimize production downtime</p></li><li><p>
Perform regular preventive maintenance and system health checks</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Technical Deployment &amp; Integration</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Overview.ai vision inspection systems on new production lines</p></li><li><p>
Work with various PLC platforms and protocols, including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and OPC UA</p></li><li><p>
Ensure seamless integration of AI inspection systems with factory automation equipment</p></li><li><p>
Use multimeters and oscilloscopes to diagnose and fix electrical and signal quality issues</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Customer Support &amp; Training</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Deliver on-site technical support and guidance to customers</p></li><li><p>
Conduct training programs for customer staff on operation and basic troubleshooting</p></li><li><p>
Build trusted partnerships with factory teams, production management, and technical staff</p></li><li><p>
Document and report recurring issues to enhance product features</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
System Optimization</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Address technical challenges such as double triggering, camera response problems, or lighting inconsistencies</p></li><li><p>
Adjust PLC ladder logic as needed to resolve integration issues</p></li><li><p>
Refine inspection parameters to decrease false rejects while ensuring high detection accuracy</p></li><li><p>
Collaborate with headquarters engineering teams for system improvements</p></li></ul><p></p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Required Experience</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related discipline</p></li><li><p>
3+ years of experience in automation, with proficiency across multiple PLC systems</p></li><li><p>
Practical experience troubleshooting electrical circuits using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes)</p></li><li><p>
Strong understanding of electrical concepts, including NPN/PNP sensor technology and signal conditioning</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with PLC ladder logic and ability to make necessary modifications</p></li><li><p>
Experience managing contractors or small technical teams</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Technical Skills</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Proficiency with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA)</p></li><li><p>
Capability to modify circuits (e.g., resistors, capacitors) to resolve signal problems</p></li><li><p>
Knowledge of machine vision lighting and triggering systems</p></li><li><p>
Excellent practical diagnostic and problem-solving skills</p></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Language &amp; Communication</b></h3><ul><li><p><b>
Working proficiency in English</b> for technical documentation and coordination with HQ</p></li><li><p>
Strong communication skills for client and team interactions</p></li><li><p><b>

Preferred Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li><p>
Experience with AI-based or automated vision inspection systems</p></li><li><p>
Familiarity with automotive, electronics, or other manufacturing environments</p></li><li><p>
Prior knowledge of Overview.ai platforms or similar systems (e.g., Keyence, Cognex, Omron, etc.)</p></li><li><p>
Experience in high-volume production settings</p></li><li><p>
