 P2S is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Seattle office and contribute to Federal, Ports, Healthcare, Education, and infrastructure projects.
 The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in electrical design for these sectors and demonstrate strong technical expertise. This role offers a clear path toward future leadership as a Design Principal, making it an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to advance their career.
 
Position Requirements: 
Technical
 <ul>
<li>Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering</li>
<li>Registered Professional Engineer License is required</li>
<li>Minimum 10 years’ experience in Ports, Federal, Healthcare, Education.</li>
<li>Demonstrate experience of leading electrical design projects</li>
<li>Strong experience in performing QAQC on multidisciplinary projects and mentor emerging professionals through challenging design and project management issues.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with preparing fee proposals and qualification packages for project pursuits.</li>
<li>Demonstrate project management skills, including preparing work breakdown structure, budget tracking, project schedule, client interface, and building long lasting relationship based on trust.</li>
<li>Experience using NEC, AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit required</li>
<li>Experience with different delivery methods like design-build, GCCM, and design-bid-build.</li>
<li>Experience with a variety of project types, including, but not limited to,</li>
<li>Electrical Equipment Replacement</li>
<li>Renovation – MEPT Design</li>
<li>New Construction – MEPT Design</li>
<li>Underground Electrical Infrastructure</li>
<li>Emergency Power System Design (Generator, UPS, Inverter)</li>
<li>Electrification</li>
</ul>
Non-Technical: 
<ul>
<li>Experience mentoring emerging professionals and guiding them through technical challenges</li>

Duties: 
Pre-Design Engineering
 <ul>
<li>Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports.</li>
<li>Prepare electrical schematic designs.</li>
</ul>
Design Engineering
 <ul>
<li>Design power single line and riser diagrams</li>
<li>Perform electrical calculations (arc flash, coordination, short circuit, voltage drop, load flow) using ETAP/SKM.</li>
<li>Design low voltage and medium voltage infrastructure.</li>
<li>Design for electrical equipment (substation, switchboard, transformer, panelboard) replacement projects.</li>
<li>Understand and utilize CAD/BIM standards.</li>
<li>Have a working knowledge of National Electrical Code, Washington Codes and Energy Standards to design electrical systems.</li>
<li>Perform QAQC for electrical design</li>
<li>Coordination among different disciplines, such as mechanical, plumbing, telecom, civil, structural, and architectural. Work in close contact with the entire design team.</li>
</ul>
Project Management
 <ul>
<li>Lead projects with a service-first mindset, ensuring client expectations are met through clear communication and technically sound, high-quality deliverables</li>
<li>Oversee MEP design for medium to large sized projects while fostering collaboration and empowering emerging professionals</li>
<li>Mentor junior design engineers by sharing knowledge, encouraging innovation, and reinforcing a culture of continuous learning</li>
<li>Support the preparation of proposals for medium to large sized projects, promoting teamwork and business development</li>
<li>Mentor junior project managers by reviewing the proposals and providing constructive feedback and suggestions.</li>
<li>Uphold P2S standards for documentation and quality, reinforcing accountability and trust throughout the project lifecycle</li>
</ul>
Construction Administration
 <ul>
<li>Provide timely, thoughtful responses to RFIs, maintaining a high level of service and client satisfaction throughout construction</li>
<li>Review submittals with a detail-oriented and quality-driven mindset to ensure engineering intent and code compliance</li>
<li>Foster collaboration and trust with contractors and field teams by being accessible, clear, and solution-oriented during construction phases</li>
<li>Participate in punch walks and prepare punch list reports with a focus on delivering excellence and functional completeness</li>
<li>Uphold accountability and integrity by ensuring that final systems reflect design intent and contribute to long-term client success</li>
<li>Serve as a technical advocate for the client during construction, proactively addressing challenges to maintain design vision and project momentum</li>

Part-Time Payroll Specialist

General Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Maintains knowledge of and responsibility for a variety of areas, including but not limited to payroll, employee retirement, workers compensation, tax reporting, general ledger and labor laws;</li>
<li>Ensures that payroll functions are carried out accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with legal requirements and sound financial management principles and practices;</li>
<li>Processes accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees</li>
<li>Prepares and processes a variety of payroll-related documents, off cycle payrolls, final checks, and manual adjustments</li>
<li>Balance and reconcile payrolls, including garnishments and 401(k) administration</li>
<li>Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax and wage and hour regulations</li>
<li>Manages payroll tax filings, payments, and other required payroll reporting</li>
<li>Partners with Accounting on monthly payroll close and payroll audits</li>
<li>Serves as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and 401(k) questions</li>
<li>Identifies opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiencies</li>
<li>Acquires and applies in-depth knowledge of complex payroll and related system functions</li>
<li>Performs other payroll related duties and ad hoc projects as assigned</li>
</ul>
Position Requirements
 <ul>
<li>Equivalent to graduation from high school. Coursework at an accredited institution in accounting/or financial record keeping is desirable. Equivalent experience in a payroll specialist role is also considered.</li>
<li>Minimum 2+ years of payroll experience in a fast paced, multi state environment</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws and wage and hour regulations</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li>
<li>High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills</li>
<li>Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism</li>
<li>Proven ability to collaborate across HR and Accounting teams</li>
<li>Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers and keyboarding; ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.</li>
