Position Summary
 We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC system design to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in the design and coordination of HVAC systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. This position involves leading mechanical design efforts, managing projects from concept through construction, and collaborating closely with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality, coordinated designs.
 Key Responsibilities
 <ul>
<li>Lead and perform HVAC system design, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/hydronic system layout.</li>
<li>Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with project and code requirements.</li>
<li>Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to ensure fully integrated building systems.</li>
<li>Conduct field surveys, evaluate existing mechanical systems, and develop retrofit or upgrade solutions.</li>
<li>Support project development from concept design through construction administration, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.</li>
<li>Collaborate with clients and project managers to define scope, schedule, and budgets for mechanical portions of projects.</li>
<li>Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and quality assurance reviews.</li>
<li>Stay current with applicable building codes and industry standards.</li>
<li>Participate in internal design reviews, QA/QC processes, and project closeout documentation.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 12 months (preferred).</li>
<li>5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in HVAC design within a consulting engineering or design-build environment.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC load calculation software (e.g., Carrier HAP, Trane TRACE).</li>
<li>Strong understanding of HVAC system types (VAV, DOAS, hydronic systems, chilled/hot water plants, VRF, etc.).</li>
<li>Familiarity with energy modeling, sustainability, and LEED/ASHRAE 90.1 compliance (preferred).</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead technical discussions with clients and project teams.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.</li>
</ul>
Additional Preferred Skills
 <ul>
<li>Experience with healthcare, laboratory, higher education, or mission-critical facilities.</li>
<li>Knowledge of specification writing and Division 23 standards.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of building automation systems and controls integration.</li>
<li>Field experience with commissioning or construction administration.</li>

Job Summary
 We are seeking a creative and technically proficient Lighting Designer to join our team. This role involves contributing to architectural lighting design projects across high end residential, healthcare, ports/harbors, education, federal, and municipal sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in lighting principles, experience with design software, and a collaborative mindset.
 
Responsibilities
 Design Assistance
 <ul>
<li>Develop lighting design concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability to enhance architectural intent and user experience.</li>
<li>Support lighting design tasks, including layout development, photometric calculations, and concept refinement.</li>
<li>Participate in mock-ups, design presentations, and renderings.</li>
<li>Conduct research and site inspections to assess existing conditions and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.</li>
<li>Assist in developing lighting controls specifications.</li>
<li>Produce accurate documentation using Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and AGI32.</li>
<li>Contribute to energy and economic calculations and building certification compliance (e.g., LEED, WELL).</li>
<li>Support the development of marketing materials for project pursuits.</li>
</ul>
Construction Administration
 <ul>
<li>Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction.</li>
<li>Generate meeting reports and punch lists to track progress and issues.</li>
</ul>
Management & Collaboration
 <ul>
<li>Demonstrate effective time and task management across multiple projects.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to integrate lighting seamlessly into overall project design.</li>
<li>Mentor junior designers and contribute to internal design standards.</li>
</ul>
Other Duties
 <ul>
<li>Occasional travel for site visits or project meetings.</li>
<li>Additional tasks as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.</li>
<li>5–15 years of experience in architectural lighting design.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, AGI32.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of lighting codes, energy-efficient design principles, and control systems.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications
 <ul>
<li>LC, CLD, LEED AP, WELL AP, or other relevant certifications.</li>
<li>Involved with IES or IALD.</li>
<li>Experience with advanced rendering tools (e.g., DIAlux, 3ds Max, Elum Tools, SketchUp, Grasshopper, DIVA, Lumion).</li>
<li>Familiarity with sustainability and daylighting analysis tools.</li>
</ul>
