If you have previous experience as a paralegal and want to continue to grow specifically in the immigration field, we encourage you to apply.Position DescriptionUnder the direction and supervision of the Practice Area Manager and Assistant Manager, the Junior Paralegal provides a wide range of legal support by drafting, preparing, and reviewing legal documents for assigned cases.Duties/Responsibilities<ul><li>Effectively moves cases forward daily to ensure all required deadlines are met</li><li>Proactively identifies, communicates, and proposes solutions to issues with cases</li><li>Identifies and communicates opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency</li><li>Builds relationships with clients by facilitating communication via phone and email</li><li>Drafts email responses to client questions</li><li>Reviews and analyzes documents from clients including emails, job descriptions, seasonality evidence, documents for in-country beneficiaries, etc.</li><li>Analyzes applicant qualifications and drafts appropriate documents for clients to send to applicants</li><li>Assists with the following:</li><li>Drafting job descriptions and Prevailing Wage Determinations (PWD&rsquo;s)</li><li>Drafting government forms</li><li>Preparing petitions</li><li>Drafting State Workforce Agency job orders and monitoring the site for applicants</li><li>Drafting responses to audits, Notice of Denials (NOD&rsquo;s), and Requests for Evidence (RFE&rsquo;s)</li><li>Amendment requests as needed</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned</li><li>Contributes to maintaining positive office morale</li><li>Acts as an ambassador for the mission, values, and standards of behavior of the firm</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Experience as a paralegal or legal assistant strongly preferred.</li><li>Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Demonstrates professional conduct and presence</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively</li><li>Ability to demonstrate support for organizational change</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>Regularly required to stand or walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop and/or bend</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Opportunities for advancement</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>This position is hybrid and requires you to work in the office at least three days per week. We welcome you to apply.Position DescriptionUnder the direction and supervision of the Practice Area Manager, provides a wide range of support to the H-2B team by drafting and reviewing work, communicating with clients regarding their H-2B visa petitions, and evaluating results to meet the goals and objectives of the firm.Supervisory Responsibilities<ul><li>Reviews and provides constructive feedback for legal documents drafted by Paralegals;</li><li>Assists with providing initial and refresher training to the H-2B team throughout the year.</li></ul>Duties/Responsibilities<ul><li>Assists the Practice Area Manager and Assistant Manager with managing the H-2B visa process and working with a team of Case Managers, Paralegals, and Operations staff;</li><li>Supports the Practice Area Manager with phone calls, reviewing and drafting emails to clients, and reviewing legal forms and documents;</li><li>Assists with developing case strategies for H-2B visa petitions;</li><li>Conducts client calls to discuss H-2B visa cases and ensure goals and needs are being met;</li><li>Corresponds with clients regarding case status, legal, and non-legal questions involving their cases (ex: what additional documents are needed/case status/etc.);</li><li>Collaborates with the Practice Area Manager to assist with reviewing legal documentation for the H-2B visa process, including Prevailing Wage Determinations (PWDs), job orders, and evidence of seasonality;</li><li>Reviews and provides constructive feedback for legal documents drafted by Case Managers, Paralegals, and Operations staff;</li><li>Reviews supporting documents provided by clients and ensure that they contain the required information, make edits where necessary;</li><li>Assists with drafting legal documentation and moving cases forward in the H-2B visa process; and</li><li>Assists with monitoring internal and external deadlines within the practice area.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;</li><li>Demonstrates professional conduct and presence, exercising tact, diplomacy and discretion in sensitive matters;</li><li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;</li><li>Ability to demonstrate support for and to help others successfully manage organizational change;</li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;</li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills;</li><li>Superb time management skills with the ability to assign and delegate tasks; and</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA accredited law school;</li><li>Licensed to practice law or soon to be licensed.</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; and</li><li>Regularly required to stand or walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop and/or bend.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>This position is hybrid and requires you to work in the office at least three days per week.
