At PNNL, our core capabilities are divided among major departments that we refer to as Directorates within the Lab, focused on a specific area of scientific research or other function, with its own leadership team and dedicated budget.</p></div><p></p><div><p><br>
Our directorates related to Mission Support &amp; Operations include Office of General Counsel, Business Services, Communications and External Engagement, Operational Systems, Communications and Information Technology, and Performance Management.</p><p></p><div><p><br>
The Operational Systems Directorate (OSD) leads delivery of PNNL&rsquo;s 10-year, $1.2 billion campus construction portfolio&mdash; the single largest construction and modernization effort in the Laboratory&rsquo;s history. OSD oversees operations and facility services, maintenance, and infrastructure planning.</p></div><p></p><div><p><br>
A team of nearly 800 staff comprise OSD, spanning in a wide range of disciplines, including craftspeople, engineers, construction professionals, technicians, scientists, administrators, and specialists. Together, they ensure that PNNL&rsquo;s assets, services, and OSD-led programs are managed and performing safely, securely, reliably, effectively, and efficiently.</p></div><p></p><div><p><br>
The directorate stewards more than $250 million in annual budget authority; managing more than 2.5 million square feet of facility space across two campuses; overseeing approximately 200 regulatory program areas; and executing a multi-million-dollar facility and infrastructure project portfolio.</p></div></div><p></p><p><br>
The Facilities &amp; Infrastructure Operations (F&amp;IO) Division is responsible for operating and maintaining PNNL&rsquo;s buildings, grounds, and utilities. The F&amp;IO team includes plant engineering, fabrication, craft services, duplicating and mail services, facility program support, relocations, and receiving. F&amp;IO is home to approximately 363 staff including more than 250 bargaining unit (union) staff.</p></div><p></p><div><br>
Bargaining Unit: Weekly Pay: $1,155.84</div><p>
This is a bargaining unit position and will be under the Battelle/HAMTC Collective Bargaining Agreement. As a condition of employment, unless otherwise exempted, the staff member will be required to join the appropriate union affiliated with the Hanford Metal Trades Council (HAMTC) after 30 days of continuous service and pay union dues or pay agency fees to such union in lieu of joining.</p>

Responsibilities:
<p>
Will coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, parts and assemblies between the appropriate shop bargaining unit functional areas in accordance with on going maintenance requirements. Will continue to locate, collect and/or purchase materials, parts and assemblies (material take-off work) as needed for specific maintenance work scheduled or in progress at the various shop locations and will purchase routine supplies and materials for different Battelle functional groups, as directed; however, its recognized that this is not an exclusive function to the Materials Coordinators.<br>

May excess materials as directed and perform other duties as assigned.</p>
Qualifications:
<p>
Minimum Qualifications:</p><ul><li>
High school education or equivalent required.</li><li>
4 years of experience in the procurement of services and materials in support of operational activities.</li><li>
Must understand office support functions and possess the abilities to effectively apply procedures, work with minimal supervision, and use discretion and good judgment about processing/disclosing sensitive or confidential information.</li><li>
Must be able to demonstrate moderate computer skills and ability to complete work assigned by others either individually or as a team member.</li><li>

HSPD-12 PIV Credential Requirement:

As a national laboratory, PNNL is responsible for adhering to the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Department of Energy (DOE) Order 473.1A, which require new employees to obtain and maintain a HSPD-12 Personal Identify Verification (PIV) Credential. To obtain this credential, new employees must successfully complete the applicable tier of federal background investigation post hire and receive a favorable federal adjudication. The tier of federal background investigation will be determined by job duties and national security or public trust responsibilities associated with the job. All tiers of investigation include a declaration of illegal drug activities, including use, supply, possession, or manufacture within the last 1 to 7 years (depending on the applicable tier of investigation). Illegal drug activities include marijuana and cannabis derivatives, which are still considered illegal under federal law, regardless of state laws.</div><div></div><div><br>
For foreign national candidates:</div><div>
If you have not resided in the U.S. for three consecutive years, you are not eligible for the PIV credential and instead will need to obtain a favorable Local Site Specific Only (LSSO) Federal risk determination to maintain employment. Once you meet the three-year residency requirement thereafter, you will be required to obtain a PIV credential to maintain employment. The tier of federal background investigation required to obtain the PIV credential will be determined by job duties at the time you become eligible for the PIV credential.</div></div>
