<b>Summary:</b><br>
A Dispatcher at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Transportation team supporting efforts to ensure total customer satisfaction through complete and reliable delivery service. This position involves coordinating transportation and delivery activities and is ideal for someone who is organized, detail oriented, and can manage their time effectively.</div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></h3><div><b><br>
1. Transportation Operations and Coordination:</b></div><ul>
<li>Assist in the planning, coordinating, and supervising of delivery team members and assign specific responsibilities which includes dispatching, route assignments, account processing, route delivery and other transportation related activities.</li>
<li>Arrange transportation for LTL/FTL east bound orders.</li>
<li>Coordinate with contracted trucking dispatchers and drivers.</li>
<li>Sequence routes daily to keep loads even and profitable.</li>
<li>Manage the preparation of delivery documents for truckers.</li>
<li>Coordinate pick-ups/deliveries with facilities and cold storage locations.</li>
<li>Emphasize customer service and productivity.</li>
<li>Maximize safety.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance of all Federal, State, Local and DOT regulations and requirements.</li>
<li>Work closely with the Transportation Supervisor and Transportation Manager to achieve targeted objectives and goals.</li>
<li>Utilize business support systems to improve efficiency.</li>
<li>Provide and promote a clean and safe working environment at all times.</li>

What you bring to Pacific Seafood</b></h3><div><b><br>
Required:</b></div><ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Minimum of two years related experience.</li>
</ul><div><b>Preferred:</b></div><ul>
<li>Associates degree from an accredited college or university, in related field.</li>
<li>Basic computer set up support skills (Phone and PC/Laptop).</li>
<li>Excellent customer service skills.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite, primarily Word and Excel.</li>
<li>Strong data entry skills.</li>

This position involves providing preventative maintenance and is ideal for someone who is safety oriented, flexible, proactive, and open to continuous learning.</div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></h3><div><br>

<b>Maintenance and Repair:</b><ul>
<li>Assess maintenance and repair problems with follow-up.</li>
<li>Perform minor plumbing and electrical work and repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production.</li>
<li>Repair equipment when breakdowns occur to maintain production.</li>
<li>Bring production equipment to a good operating standard and improve work order system and develop a return to service, i.e. production certification.</li>
<li>Paint any necessary areas, as needed.</li>
<li>Remedy any unsafe conditions in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Safety must be first priority and repair aesthetic defects i.e. seals, hinges, hangers, etc. when production maintenance and breakdowns allow.</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li><b>Communication and Operational Support:</b><ul>
<li>Be on call, as needed.</li>
<li>Learn set-up, operation, adjustments, and operating parameters of production equipment.</li>
<li>Develop open communication with machine operators, department supervisors and managers.</li>
<li>Work on new installation projects.</li>
<li>Perform a daily walk-through as assigned to spot possible problems.</li>
