We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Angular, Spring Boot, and Docker, combined with a solid understanding of Kubernetes, reactive programming, and secure API design. This role is primarily focused on full-stack development but includes a secondary responsibility of Tier 3 support, where you'll handle escalated issues that require in-depth technical knowledge and problem-solving during regular office hours.
You'll work with modern technologies to build scalable, secure, and data-driven applications while also collaborating with operations and support teams to ensure production reliability and high system availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Development:<ul><li>
Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Angular for the frontend and Spring Boot for backend services.</li><li>
Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring best practices in security and performance.</li><li>
Apply data-driven and reactive programming principles to build responsive, scalable applications.</li></ul>
System Integration and Architecture:<ul><li>
Utilize Docker to containerize applications and ensure environment consistency.</li><li>
Apply a working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts to collaborate with infrastructure teams on container orchestration.</li><li>
Incorporate OAuth2 and OpenID Connect standards to manage secure authentication and authorization workflows.</li></ul>
Support and Reliability (Tier 3):<ul><li>
Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues that require expert-level investigation and resolution.</li><li>
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to analyze metrics, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance logging and alerting mechanisms.</li></ul>
Collaboration and Communication:<ul><li>
Translate business and user requirements into high-quality technical solutions.</li><li>
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product, to deliver end-to-end functionality.</li><li>
Contribute to code reviews, architectural discussions, and documentation.</li></ul>
 Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
5&ndash;10 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a focus on modern web technologies.</li><li>
Proficiency in :<ul><li>
Angular (TypeScript)</li><li>
Spring Boot (Java)</li><li>
Docker</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>
Solid understanding of Kubernetes operations and concepts.</li><li>
Experience with data-driven design and reactive programming (e.g., using Project Reactor or RxJS).</li><li>
Proficiency in RESTful API design and consumption.</li><li>
Knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.</li><li>
Understanding of geo-spatial concepts and working with geo-spatial databases.</li><li>
Familiarity with DevOps practices, including observability tools (metrics, logging, alerting).</li><li>
Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical requirements.</li><li>
Proficient with Git and related version control workflows.</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.</li></ul>
Nice to Have:<ul><li>
Experience with cloud hosting platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).</li><li>
Understanding of various OIDC flows and their use cases.</li><li>
Familiarity with video streaming (live and on-demand) in web browsers.</li><li>
Hands-on experience with PostGIS or other geo-spatial extensions to relational databases.</li></ul>
