<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">About this role</h2>
Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical skills labs and simulations in conjunction with the health sciences and nursing departments. Responsible for the set-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of lab and simulation equipment.
What a day of a Clinical Skills Coordinator looks like:<ul><li>
Stages practice modules, clinical simulations, and skills labs. Provides instruction on lab and mannequin usage to students.</li><li>
Operates simulation mannequins. Controls mannequin vitals, reactions, and other functions based on actions taken during the simulation.</li><li>
Collaborates with faculty and academic leadership team to design, develop, and implement professional programming in support of academic and student success. Trains faculty on simulation lab operation.</li><li>
Maintains inventories of equipment, supplies, and materials.</li><li>
Performs routine maintenance and repairs of equipment. Coordinates the repair or replacement of broken equipment and any regular maintenance requirements by vendors.</li><li>
Prepares required reports for various internal and external requests. Designs and creates training content and materials for topic presentations.</li><li>
Maintains and performs in a safe workplace and follows established safety practices.</li><li>
Research, evaluate, and recommend new lab materials, equipment, and supplies.</li><li>
Maintains current knowledge of field or profession. Travels to training workshops, conferences, meetings, and professional events outside of college locations, as needed.</li><li>
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Education and Experience:<ul><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree and one year of related experience or</li><li>
High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience</li></ul>
Knowledge of:<ul><li>
Medical simulation software and applications</li><li>
Microsoft Office Professional or similar application</li></ul>
Skilled in:
<ul><li>Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management</li></ul>
Ability to:<ul><li>
Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness</li><li>
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service</li></ul>
Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:<ul><li>
Regular physical attendance required</li><li>
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida; OR</li><li>
Licensed as a Paramedic in the State of Florida</li></ul>

Education and Experience:<ul><li>
Experience in a clinical setting</li></ul>

Proofread and check documents for accuracy</li><li>
Work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury</li><li>
Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions</li><li>
Risk for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens</li><li>
