 Looking for a unique and rewarding experience working for an iconic London-based wine and spirits company that is launching their first American location? One of the world's most trusted fine wine and spirits merchants is opening their new location in D.C. and is seeking a General Manager to join their team as the General Manager for the entire US entity.
 
 
 
 They are looking for a dynamic individual with a background in fine wine, luxury goods, and/or hospitality, and a strong focus on growing our US customer base of home collectors
 
 
 .
 
 In this role, you will be responsible for managing the team, focusing on customer acquisition and delivering sales through relationship building and a level of service that is more akin to the hospitality business but also aligned to the Home of Collecting strategy. You will assume responsibility for delivering the company&rsquo;s growth ambitions while ensuring that company standards are maintained to the highest level to optimise customer engagement and service excellence.

 Duties and Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work closely with the MD International &amp; Auctions to develop and deliver the USA business plan in line with the agreed targets
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and deliver agreed annual plans and appropriate customer, sales and service performance measures (revenue, margin, customer acquisition and NPS)
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish the Year 1 team for the US operation; set clear goals and targets for both direct and indirect reports, aligned to the overall business plan. Recruit and onboard new team members as appropriate
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide leadership and direction to the local teams, ensuring that hospitality and relationships are the foundation of providing excellent customer service to all customers
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the performance, growth and development of individual team members
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop thought leadership to be recognised as a market leader and trusted destination
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay abreast of the competitive environment in market and provide comprehensive andaccurate information on the fine wine and spirits&rsquo; market
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop strong relationships with the Sales &amp; Service team and functional teams based in the UK to ensure operational efficiency and consistently high levels of customer service
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure that all working practices comply with US and UK anti-bribery, GDPR and Health &amp; Safety legislation compliance
 </li>

 </li>

 Fine wine expertise not a &lsquo;must&rsquo; &ndash; better to have great people and management skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Hospitality and relationship building experience is beneficial.
 </li>
