Palos Verdes Golf Club is a private club located in the middle of an 800-acre parkland preserve overlooking Santa Monica Bay with ocean views visible from several holes. Established in 1924, the golf course has long been referred to as &quot;a hidden gem&quot; and the clubhouse is a designated historical building by the Palos Verdes Historical Society.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
<ul><li>Approach all interaction with Members, guests, and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented &amp; professional manner</li><li>
Remain attentive, friendly, helpful, courteous, and respectful to Members, guests, managers and fellow employees at all times</li><li>
Seat Members and Guests according to the established floor plan or their preferred seating if possible</li><li>
Answer the phone and input Member/Guests reservations into the reservation system</li><li>
Make daily calls to Members/Guests to confirm their upcoming reservations</li><li>
Promptly greet guests as they enter the Clubhouse and dining area, introducing yourself and providing your first name</li><li>
Ensure overall guest satisfaction; communicate all guests' feedback promptly to management</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned and assist wait staff as needed</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:<ul><li>
English/Spanish bilingual ability a plus</li><li>
Excellent Member and guest-relation communication skills</li><li>
Basic knowledge of POS systems</li><li>
Basic math skills</li><li>
Dynamic outgoing personality; articulate, friendly, punctual, and proactive</li><li>
Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
High level of client services, professionalism, and attention to detail; professional appearance appropriate for a premier country club</li><li>
Ability to work weekends &amp; Holidays and all shifts according to your availability provided at the time of hire</li></ul>
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:<ul><li>
Minimum 1 year host/hostess or food service experience in an upscale restaurant environment; fine dining and/or country club experience highly preferred</li><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Basic knowledge of food and beverage operations</li><li>
Serv-Safe certified; RBS certified</li><li>
CPR certified a plus</li></ul></div>
