Job Summary:
Responsible for the procurement of parts and materials, supplies and equipment for production and maintaining of stock inventory. Completes and maintains related purchase orders and reports, performs expedite and de-expedite activities as required to maintain production schedule and promote positive cash flow. Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with departments to ensure that operations are smooth and uninterrupted. Locates, compares, negotiates part deliveries and prices with suppliers. Monitors and follows applicable laws and regulations, as well as Panelmatic code of conduct requirements.
Job Duties:<ul><li>Purchase the highest quality material at the lowest possible price and in the correct amounts.</li><li>Develops and ensures all elements of the purchase commitment are completed with proper required approvals.</li><li>Reviews requisitions for accuracy and completeness, prepares and processes assigned purchase order.</li><li>Monitors ideal inventory levels; reorders and purchases items needed for inventory replenishment to ensure on-time delivery while maximizing turns and minimizing carrying cost.</li><li>Reviews order acknowledgments for item, cost and delivery date accuracy and updates the system, as well as notifying PMs and/or manufacturing of updates as necessary.</li><li>Expedites (or de-expedites) the delivery of purchases as necessary.</li><li>Monitors shipments to ensure that materials come in on time, and in the event of problems will trace shipments and follow up on undelivered material.</li><li>Confer with staff, users and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods/services and determine corrective action.</li><li>Sources and provides material costs and availability to estimating, sales and engineering teams for potential new business opportunities and/or change orders.</li><li>Provides recommendations regarding materials to other functional groups to drive toward cost savings and/or improved product availability.</li><li>Developing and maintaining rapport, trust, and constructive and cooperative working relationships with suppliers and Panelmatic teammates.
</li><li>Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, auditing or verifying information or data, and maintaining information files and processing paperwork.</li><li>Assists in annual physical inventory activities and/or cycle counting as required.</li><li>Any other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements<ul>

Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required</li>
<li>Ten-plus years of experience in materials management required</li>
<li>Ten-plus years of experience in manufacturing required</li>
<li>Ten-plus years of experience using an ERP system to efficiently plan and procure material required</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Able to communicate at various levels within the organization required</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve goals required</li>
<li>Experience with material expediting and implementing solutions to short-term and long-term supply issues required</li>

Job Summary:
The Materials Manager works with supply chain and manufacturing to support lean inventory and procurement strategies for purchased material. The Materials Manager is tasked with ensuring all purchased materials, goods, and services are in timely support of the planned business needs and master production schedule. This individual will maintain key relationships with stakeholders across the organization in manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and plant management as well as with customers outside of the organization.
Job Duties:<ul>
<li>
Oversee Inventory Management, Material Handling, Shipping, and Receiving.</li>
<li>Own and implement strategies to improve the operations of the materials department.</li>
<li>Ensure seamless communication and feedback with company sales team and other functional groups.</li>
<li>Engage in root cause problem solving to drive process improvement.</li>
<li>Provide recommendations regarding materials to other functional groups to drive towards excellence.
</li><li>Oversee and advise on maintenance of ideal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries, while maximizing turns, and minimizing carrying costs.</li>
<li>Manage and reviews cycle counting, physical inventory, profit planning and min./max. level controls, lead times, etc. of the ordering process to ensure inventory levels (purchase parts, WIP, finished goods, consignment, in-transit etc.) meet division and corporate expectations.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Hire, train, develop and evaluate staff. Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
</li><li>Interface with customers, as required, establishing relationships, creating confidence, and resolving issues.
</li></ul>Requirements<ul>
