Job Description: The Insurance Verification &amp; Collections Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely verification of patient insurance benefits, with a primary focus on monthly eligibility checks and maintaining up-to-date insurance information. This role also supports the financial health of the practice by managing patient accounts receivable and performing collection efforts when not actively verifying insurance. Attention to detail, organization, and effective communication are essential to success in this position.Key Responsibilities: Insurance Verification (Primary Focus)<ul><li>Serve as the primary insurance verifier for the office, especially during first of the month</li><li>Complete insurance eligibility verification for all applicable patients at the beginning of each month</li><li>Accurately verify and document insurance details including:</li><li>Coverage and benefits</li><li>Frequencies and limitations</li><li>Insurance addresses and payer information</li><li>Patient financial responsibility estimates</li><li>Ensure all insurance information is current, accurate, and properly entered into the practice management system</li><li>Communicate any discrepancies or important coverage details to the front office team</li></ul>Account Collections<ul><li>Work accounts collections to ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances</li><li>Perform collection calls in a professional, courteous, and consistent manner</li><li>Document all patient communication and collection efforts thoroughly</li><li>Assist in resolving account discrepancies and payment issues</li><li>Support the team in maintaining healthy account balances and minimizing aging AR</li></ul>Additional Responsibilities:<ul><li>Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all data entry and account updates</li><li>Ensure all patient and insurance records are accurate and compliant with office standards</li><li>Collaborate with front office team members to support smooth daily operations</li><li>Always uphold HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Previous dental or medical office experience preferred</li><li>Exceptional data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Strong understanding of insurance verification and basic billing processes</li><li>Strong communication and phone skills, especially for collections</li><li>Experience with dental software systems preferred</li></ul>Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits.Pay: From $15.00 per hourWork Location: In person
