The Role</b></p><p>
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner to join our growing team at Particle Measuring Systems. The <b>Finance Business Partner - Operations</b> role will focus on providing critical financial analysis and support to the operations department consisting of manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics and after-sales services. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and profitability through in-depth analysis of supply chain forecasts, sales projections, product costing, and various financial reserves. You will also play a key role in supporting Lean processes and analyzing financial performance related to service and installation operations. This role will report directly to the Director of FP&amp;A but will maintain a close relationship with the Operations Leadership and their direct reports.</p><p></p><p><b>
Specific Job Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Supply Chain Forecast Analysis:<ul><li>
Analyze and interpret supply chain forecasts to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.</li><li>
Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to refine forecasts and ensure alignment with financial goals.</li></ul></li><li>
Monthly Sales Forecast Analysis:<ul><li>
Review and analyze monthly sales forecasts, identifying variances and providing actionable insights.</li><li>
Work closely with sales and marketing teams to adjust forecasts based on market conditions and business strategy.</li><li>
Align sales forecasts to production schedules, identifying risks and opportunities.</li></ul></li><li>
Product Costing Review:<ul><li>
Conduct detailed analysis of product costing, including material, labor, and overhead costs.</li><li>
Ensure accurate cost allocation and identify opportunities for cost reduction and margin improvement.</li></ul></li><li>
Warranty Analysis and Reserve Preparation:<ul><li>
Analyze warranty claims and prepare related reserves.</li><li>
Monitor and assess warranty trends, making recommendations for reserve adjustments as needed.</li></ul></li><li>
Inventory Reserve Analysis:<ul><li>
Analyze inventory reserves and assess the adequacy of reserve levels.</li><li>
Provide recommendations for reserve adjustments to reflect current market conditions and inventory turnover.</li></ul></li><li>
Deferred Revenue Review:<ul><li>
Review and analyze deferred revenue accounts, ensuring proper recognition and alignment with revenue policies.</li><li>
Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve any discrepancies.</li></ul></li><li>
Support Lean Processes:<ul><li>
Support and contribute to Lean initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing waste.</li><li>
Provide financial insights to support process improvements and cost-saving projects.</li></ul></li><li>
Service and Installation Business P&amp;L Analysis:<ul><li>
Report and analyze Profit and Loss statements for the service and installation segments.</li><li>
Provide insights into financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>

Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>
Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree ne in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus.</li></ul><ul><li>
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Accounting experience is a plus.</li><li>
Skills:<ul><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.</li><li>
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.</li><li>
Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.</li><li>
Understanding of Lean principles and experience supporting Lean initiatives is preferred.</li></ul></li></ul><p></p><p><b>
The Details</b></p><p></p><p><b>
Location</b><b> &ndash; </b>This is position is &ldquo;in-office&rdquo; approximately 3 times a week. The remainder of the time you may work from home. These percentages are targets with the actual schedule to be determined in conjunction with the Manager's expectations for the position. The location of this position in Niwot, CO. Local candidates will receive first consideration.</p><p></p><p><b>
Compensation &amp; Benefits</b></p><ul><li>
Competitive base salary range: $95,000 - $145,000</li><li>
Our compensation philosophy: we offer competitive pay based on market data, including local, national, and industry benchmarks. For new hires, offers are generally within the established min- to mid-point of the range for the role, with flexibility to recognize experience, skills, and education. Our approach ensures fair pay internally while remaining competitive externally and allows room for growth.
