Job title: Accounts OfficerJob summary: Maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance to ensure timely, accurate financial information for the organization.Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Record daily financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments) in ledgers and accounting systems.</li><li>Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.</li><li>Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and intercompany balances regularly.</li><li>Process accounts payable and accounts receivable: invoice entry, payment runs, receipts allocation, and credit control follow-up.</li><li>Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions (or liaise with payroll provider).</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities.</li><li>Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation.</li><li>Support VAT/GST/sales tax reporting and other statutory compliance requirements.</li><li>Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.</li><li>Support external and internal audits by providing schedules, documentation, and explanations.</li><li>Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>1&ndash;5 years&rsquo; experience in accounting or bookkeeping (adjust per level).</li><li>Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/CIMA) or part-qualified is desirable.</li></ul>Skills and competencies:<ul><li>Solid knowledge of accounting principles and standards.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Tally) and Excel.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.</li><li>Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork abilities.</li><li>Integrity and understanding of confidentiality.</li></ul>Key performance indicators (examples):<ul><li>Timeliness and accuracy of month-end close.</li><li>Reconciliation completion rate and discrepancy resolution time.</li><li>Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and supplier payment timeliness.</li><li>Audit findings and compliance record.</li><li>Accuracy of payroll and tax filings.</li></ul>Working conditions:<ul><li>Office-based or hybrid; occasional overtime during closing periods.</li><li>Interaction with finance team, operations, vendors, and auditors.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per monthEducation:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accountant: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
