We continue to be a growing company who takes pride in not only quality products, but outstanding employee experience for all.PRIMARY FUNCTION:The Cash Application Specialist&rsquo;s role is primarily responsible for ensuring timely, accurate deposits of check and ACH payments, making cash applications to maintain customer accounts, and processing credit card transactions, as well as assisting the financial department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Prepare and process daily bank deposits</li><li>Maintain accounting files and records</li><li>Follow AR policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance</li><li>Process credit card payments in a timely manner for order fulfillment</li><li>Accurately post payments to customer accounts in a timely manner</li><li>Coordination and communication within the Accounting Department, as well as other departments</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned; this department works as a team</li></ul>RequirementsKEY COMPETENCIES:<ul><li>Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness</li><li>Excellent organizational skills</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Knowledge of general financial accounting and compliance a plus</li><li>Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles</li><li>Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness</li><li>Team player with strong work ethic</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software</li><li>Excellent 10-key skills</li><li>Effective time manager</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required;Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred, not required</li><li>One to two years of previous cash application experience preferred, or related experience</li><li>Strong attention to detail</li></ul>Schedule:<ul><li>Monday to Friday; special schedule on Fridays</li></ul>Compensation Package:<ul><li>Bonus pay</li></ul>Ability to Commute/Relocate:<ul><li>Blythewood, SC 29016: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In personBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>AD&amp;D insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid sick time</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
