Job Summary:</b></div><div><i>
This position may be onsite, hybrid, or remote, with the expectation of quarterly travel to headquarters in Champaign, IL for onboarding and stakeholder engagement, and as needed.</i></div><div></div><div><br>
The In-House Legal Counsel is responsible for the management of the contracting process with our</div><div>
multi-family clients, advising senior members of our management team on other corporate legal</div><div>
matters, other projects as needed and assigned by the company.</div><p></p><div><b><br>
Duties/Responsibilities:</b></div><div><i>

Negotiating, writing, and executing agreements and contracts on behalf of the company.</li><li>
Advising on contract status, legal risks, and legal liabilities associated with corporate transactions.</li><li>
Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.</li><li>
Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business.</li><li>
Promoting legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company.</li><li>
Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsel or auditors.</li><li>
Staying up to date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect your business and specific industry.</li><li>
Consulting with senior members of staff.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Working alongside other departments within the company.</li><li>
Providing training to the company on legal topics.</li><li>
All other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Required Qualifications:</b></div><ul><li>
JD from an accredited law school</li><li>
Bar membership in good standing</li><li>
Five (5) + years of experience gained in a large law firm and/or in-house.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills</li><li>
Ability to effectively communicate with others at all levels of the organization.</li><li>
Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues.</li><li>
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization&rsquo;s legal department and across all businesses.</li><li>
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.</li><li>
Strong capacity for leadership.</li><li>
Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products and CRM.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>

Compensation &amp; Benefits:</b></div><div>
The salary range for this position is: $145,000 &ndash; $195,000</div><div></div><div><i><br>
Actual base pay for this job will depend on the candidate's primary work location and other factors, such as relevant skills and experience. Pavlov Media is committed to complying with the Equal Pay Act and places a strong emphasis on internal equity when determining compensation. Final pay will be determined based on the candidate&rsquo;s skills, experience, and alignment with our internal equity standards, ensuring fairness and consistency across the organization. The salary banding for this role also allows room for growth, with opportunities for pay increases within the band based on performance and contributions.</i><br>
