Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Pet Sitter to provide exceptional care for pets during nighttime hours. This role involves caring for a variety of animals, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while their owners are away. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, strong handling skills, and the ability to work overnight shifts in a responsible and compassionate manner. MUST be available from 6pm - 6am and live in Saratoga County. This is not a temporary position.Duties<ul><li>Feed, water, and administer medications to pets as directed by owners or veterinary staff</li><li>Monitor pets&rsquo; health and behavior throughout the night, noting any concerns or irregularities</li><li>Provide companionship and comfort to animals, ensuring they feel safe and secure</li><li>Perform animal restraint and handling with care to prevent injury or stress</li><li>Clean and maintain pet living areas, including kennels or cages, following sanitation protocols</li><li>Assist with pet grooming tasks if necessary</li><li>Respond promptly to any emergencies or urgent situations involving animals</li><li>Maintain detailed records of pet care activities and communicate updates to owners or veterinary professionals</li><li>Handle heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or pet equipment</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience in pet sitting, animal care, or kennel work is preferred</li><li>Knowledge of dog training, dog handling, and animal restraint techniques is a plus</li><li>Veterinary experience such as veterinary technician or assistant background is advantageous</li><li>Experience with equine or other large animals is beneficial but not required</li><li>Strong animal handling skills with a focus on safety and compassion</li><li>Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners</li><li>Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and responsibly</li><li>Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during the shift</li><li>Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to respond calmly in emergency situations</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $400.00 - $1,500.00 per monthExpected hours: 12 &ndash; 84 per weekWork Location: In person
