The Accounting Manager provides strategic financial leadership and oversees district accounting operations, ensuring strong internal controls, reliable reporting, and effective execution of core accounting processes. People Leadership &amp; Team Development</b></p><ul><li>
Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team by setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth</li><li>

Oversight of Core Accounting Functions</b></p><ul><li>
Oversee, monitor, and be accountable for key accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close</li><li>
Ensure accounting submissions and financial deliverables are completed accurately and on time; follow up on issues, problems, and discrepancies</li></ul><p><b>
Reporting, Insights, and Business Support</b></p><ul><li>
Deliver timely financial reporting and provide insights that support leadership decision-making, including ad hoc analysis as needed</li><li>
Identify risks, opportunities, and performance drivers, providing forward-looking analysis to help the district anticipate issues and capitalize on opportunities</li><li>
Lead planning and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with district and corporate goals</li></ul><p><b>
Controls, Compliance, and Audit</b></p><ul><li>
Manage the district financial cycle and working capital in accordance with company policies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness</li><li>
Maintain strong internal controls and oversee audits (internal/external as applicable), compliance activities, and required regulatory documentation</li><li>
Oversee required documentation (e.g., insurance, bonding, SDI, workers compensation, statutory declarations, lien waivers) to ensure it is complete and maintained appropriately</li></ul><p><b>
Process &amp; System Improvement</b></p><ul><li>

Qualifications</b></h2>

Education &amp; Experience</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred</li><li>
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership/supervisory experience managing an accounting function or team</li><li>
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting</li><li>
Construction or related industry experience preferred</li></ul><p><b><br>
Skills &amp; Knowledge</b></p><ul><li>
Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting</li><li>
Effective verbal and written communication, including the ability to present financial information to leadership</li><li>
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and deadline discipline</li><li>
ERP and reporting tool proficiency; Oracle preferred</li></ul></div></div></div>

The estimated salary range for this role is $117,000 - $151,500, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.</p><p></p><p><br>

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.</li><li>
