Position Summary: The Team Leader is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Bissonette House ensuring the safety, security and smooth operations of the house. Must coordinate and communicate effectively with the Program Manager, other staff and volunteers to ensure resident activities, work details, maintenance and food ordering and preparation are carried out in a timely, effective and efficient manner. Assists the Program Manager in all aspects of operations, tours, community and resident activities. The Team Leader is &lsquo;first among peers&rsquo; to Direct Care Workers. Computer proficiency required.Essential Functions: &middot; House Maintenance:&middot; In consultation with the Program Manager, whenever possible, take timely corrective action with individuals who violate security, maintenance or operational procedures.&middot; Assist in ensuring that residents complete daily reentry routines, participate in activities and community programs. Document accordingly.&middot; Prepare weekly menus ensuring all ingredients are available and ready to use for each recipe.&middot; Research and write recipes using healthy food options.&middot; Order food items from local food bank, area farms and grocery stores at least weekly.&middot; Complete weekly food shopping and food pickups.&middot; Supervise residents to ensure that meal preparation plans are in place for all meal planning, preparation and clean-up.&middot; Ensure kitchen is fully stocked with food prior to the end of each shift.&middot; Inventory and re-stock freezers, refrigerators, and pantry as needed.&middot; Complete monthly Food Bank reports and attend Food Bank meetings as scheduled.&middot; Ensure all staff and residents follow &lsquo;Serve Safe&rsquo; protocols and food safety requirements.&middot; Report donation and volunteer hours and activities to the Office Manager.&middot; Assist with proper storage, security and dispensing of medications.&middot; Assist with proper storage and security of the belongings of residents who are discharged unexpectedly from the house. Dispose of these belongings after 30 days of the resident&rsquo;s absence.&middot; Assist in day-to-day maintenance as required.&middot; Monitor visitors and volunteers.&middot; Attend scheduled meetings and training.&middot; Assist with monthly fire drills.&middot; Assist with maintenance of records, temperature logs, petty cash, inventory, etc. File as necessary.&middot; Review log entries, sign-in sheets, activity notes, and attendance sheets. File as necessary.&middot; Maintain confidentiality and safeguard all information in accordance with all policies and regulations.&middot; Assist in PREA compliance measures as directed by the Program Manager.&middot; Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement in programming and community relationships to Program Manager in order to positively impact our outcomes and the quality of our programming.&middot; Communicate and interface with various groups and individuals (i.e. supervisor, subordinates, other agencies, Parole, neighbors, residents, families of residents, etc.).&middot; Complete weekly room checks. Confiscate illegal and forbidden items as necessary and communicate issues to the Program Manager.&middot; Oversee the maintenance and the organization of all supply and storage closets, the food pantry, the Resident Assistant area, and the clothing closet.&middot; Conduct and assist in the monthly urinalyses, as stipulated in the list provided by the Program Manager. Ensure that new residents are tested within 24 hours of arrival. Log results on the list provided and on the drug test log.&middot; Delegate activities to Direct Care Workers when appropriate.&middot; Document activities with residents that are in conjunction with organizational goals or that serve an educational purpose.&middot; Assists Program Manager in the following areas:o Coordinate the daily activities of residents and volunteers to create an environment where goals are achieved, and our core values are demonstrated by allo Inspire others to learn and grow. Provide frequent and regular coaching to build skills and create best practices to achieve goals.o Demonstrate and delegate tasks to ensure residents receive ongoing challenges to increase skills and competencies. Check for understanding and assist individuals in problem solving.o Build systems of accountability. Recognize good performance and celebrate successes.o Address performance deficiencies immediately, following sound corrective action process.o Participate in opportunities to advance personal and professional growth.o Facilitate internal communication by participating in team meetings and by sharing knowledge.Education and Experience: &middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Service, Criminal Justice or other related field preferred, related experience will be considered.&middot; Knowledge of Criminal Justice System.&middot; Minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience in education, social, or human services.
