Overview RNK Construction LLC, a privately owned trucking company, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting task, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts and assisting with financial reporting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial dataResponsibilities <ul><li>Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.</li><li>Perform monthly bank reconciliations and other balance sheet account reconciliations</li><li>Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing supporting schedules and analyses.</li><li>Perform other ad-hoc accounting projects and duties as assigned</li><li>Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial records and reports, staying up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements</li><li>Collaborate with the accounting manager to ensure financial policies and procedures remain current and compliant with industry best practices</li><li>Participate in cross-functional projects, offering financial analysis and insights for business initiatives and special ad hoc projects.</li><li>Provide support for audits, Including preparation of necessary documentation and data requests from internal and external auditors.</li><li>Engage and support a culture that emphasizes accountability and transparency within the finance department and across company</li><li>Responsible for supporting all aspects of accounting /financial reporting</li><li>General Ledger review and maintenance, including journal entries</li><li>Assist with internal process review and implementation</li><li>Account reconciliation</li><li>Internal reporting requirements</li><li>Analyze sales and cost data</li><li>Assist W/ Customer reports</li><li>Organize Ticket Process for Payroll</li><li>Driver 1 Hired Truck Payroll</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting</li><li>1 year of accounting experience</li><li>1 year of payroll experince</li><li>Proven experience as a Staff Accounting, (trucking construction experience is a plus)</li><li>Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); working Knowledge of relevant software.</li><li>Superb Interpersonal Skills</li><li>Good Organizational skills</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li></ul>Pay: From $60,000.00 per yearApplication Question(s):<ul><li>Yes or No. Does applicant have good transportation to get you to and from work?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)</li><li>Payroll: 1 year (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Driver's License (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
