Psychiatric Clinician &ndash; IOP Program (PMHNP, MD, DO &ndash; Fully Licensed Only)Location: Colorado Springs, ColoradoReports To: Medical Director or Clinical DirectorClassification: Full-Time /EmployeeCompensation: Starting at $249,600/yrPOSITION SUMMARYThe Psychiatric Clinician (PMHNP, MD, or DO) provides psychiatric and medication management services within a peer-integrated Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This fully licensed role is essential to supporting client stabilization and recovery, in close collaboration with non-clinical peer staff and licensed behavioral health clinicians. We are seeking individuals who bring deep knowledge of harm reduction practices, a commitment to trauma-informed care, and experience working with underserved populations. This position is not an on-call role and offers flexible hours within a collaborative, community-based environment.ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES&middot; Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning in accordance with DSM-5 criteria.&middot; Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate to support mental health and substance use recovery.&middot; Collaborate with peer recovery coaches and licensed clinicians to ensure integrated, person-centered care.&middot; Provide medication education, harm reduction strategies, and health counseling to clients and their support networks.&middot; Document services accurately in compliance with HCPF, BHA, and agency requirements.&middot; Consult with the interdisciplinary team and participate in case review meetings.&middot; Support coordination of care with external providers, hospitals, and managed care organizations.&middot; Uphold ethical, legal, and medical standards established by DORA, DEA, and relevant medical boards.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRequired:&middot; Active and unrestricted Colorado license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Psychiatrist (MD), or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).&middot; DEA registration with the ability to prescribe controlled substances in Colorado.&middot; Credentialed or eligible for credentialing with CCHA and CO ACCESS for Medicaid billing.&middot; Experience working in community behavioral health or substance use treatment settings.&middot; Proficiency in trauma-informed care and harm reduction strategies.&middot; Clear background check and compliance with all agency onboarding requirements.Preferred Qualifications:&middot; Experience working in interdisciplinary or peer-integrated treatment models.&middot; Experience treating co-occurring disorders and working with justice-involved or medically underserved populations.&middot; Familiarity with Medicaid documentation standards and behavioral health EHR systems.&middot; Multilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply&mdash;especially speakers of Afghani languages (e.g., Dari, Pashto) and Spanish.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis role is embedded in a recovery-oriented, harm reduction-based, and peer-led community organization.
