IDL Classification: Occupation Description: Set up, operate, or tend milling or planning machines to mill, plane, shape, groove, or profile metal or plastic work pieces.</p><p><b>
Job Summary:</b></p><p>
Operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machine equipment to manufacture parts per specifications. Ensure products meet quality standards and production goals while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Work under the direction of the Team Leader and follow all applicable safety and company policies.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.</li><li>
Perform part inspections using precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy.</li><li>
Ensure proper training is completed before operating any tool or machine.</li><li>
Document all production activity, including shop travelers, part counts, quality checks, and maintenance logs.</li><li>
Follow proper lifting techniques and use required PPE (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves).</li><li>
Maintain machines through daily cleaning and routine preventative maintenance.</li><li>
Assist with troubleshooting part or machine issues, collaborating with machinists or supervisors as needed.</li><li>
Maintain work area cleanliness and follow 5S practices to support efficiency and safety.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Compliance and Safety:</b></p><ul><li>
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.</li><li>
Follow all PedSafety Pelco Solutions Handbook guidelines and posted work rules.</li><li>
Ensure equipment calibrations and PMs are current and documented.</li><li>
Notify the supervisor of any safety hazards, equipment concerns, or quality issues.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Continuous Improvement:</b></p><ul><li>
Identify opportunities to improve machining processes, reduce waste, and improve quality or productivity.</li><li>
Provide input on tooling improvements or operational adjustments.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Computer Use and Documentation:</b></p><ul><li>
Use computers to log production data and complete forms accurately.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for basic documentation and data entry.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
2-5 years' experience operating and set up of CNC mills and lathes required.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.</li><li>
Proficiency in the use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.</li><li>
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.</li><li>
Strong communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>
Familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plus.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>
Must be able to work up to 10-hour shifts.</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.</li><li>
Regular standing, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling.</li><li>
Must be able to tolerate moderate noise and temperature changes in the work environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>

Summary/Objectives: </b>Responsible for scheduling sales orders to meet customer demand or fit within the capacity of the production operations. Releasing and monitoring production orders, ensuring required materials are available to the production floor, according to the production schedule. Release sales orders and customer shipments to production for the daily shipping schedule.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities </b><b>include the following </b><b>(other duties may be assigned)</b><b>:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Schedules and coordinates production work orders to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.</li><li>
Responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity schedule and material requirements.</li><li>
Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality at assigned work location</li><li>
Input shipping and delivery date information.</li><li>
Evaluate MRP and PRP demand with supply chain and production through releasing of jobs and communicating material shortages.</li><li>
Interface with manufacturing personnel, purchasing personnel, etc. on material status and production scheduling issues.</li><li>
Working with various NetSuite tools for problem-solving of demand, production movement, and on-time commitment for assigned sales orders.</li><li>
Procure materials and components as needed to support customer demand and special projects.</li><li>

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: </b>Full-Time &ndash; 9/80 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM &ndash; 5:00PM or 6:30AM &ndash; 4:30PM. May require overtime based on business needs.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
