We know that our team creates a positive feeling when you walk through our doors, it&rsquo;s what we call &ldquo;The Pelham Experience.&rdquo; If you would like to be part of this rapidly growing organization, we invite you to come join our hospitality team.Position Summary:The HR Specialist/Generalist plays a vital role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring our company&rsquo;s compliance while engaging and supporting the resort's employees throughout their entire employment lifecycle.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&middot; Collaborate with the Executive Director of HR to implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's goals and values.&middot; Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding, HRIS management, benefits and offboarding.&middot; Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and initial phone screens.&middot; Manage the Unemployment Insurance requests and needs.&middot; Manage the Workers Compensation claims and follow-up.&middot; Provide training, as needed, for new Supervisors and Managers, in collaboration with the Executive Director of HR.&middot; Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations including ensuring the most up to date information is posted and available.&middot; Administer employee benefits programs, ensuring employees have a comprehensive understanding of our offerings, working with benefit contacts to resolve any issues as well as Leave coordination.&middot; Collaborate with finance and payroll departments to ensure payroll can be done accurately and on time.&middot; Stay up-to-date with HR trends and best practices to continually work with the Executive Director of HR to improve HR policies, procedures, the HR SOP and employee engagement.&middot; Perform other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:&middot; Understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and regulations.&middot; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and management.&middot; Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.&middot; Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google platform.&middot; HRIS systems and other HR-related software preferred.&middot; High level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive employee information.&middot; Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.&middot; Ability to multitask and continually prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.&middot; Positive attitude and a genuine passion for promoting a positive work culture and supporting our employees.Education and Experience:&middot; A minimum of 2 years of relevant or transferable experience in HR, with previous experience in the hospitality industry considered a plus.Physical Requirements:&middot; Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move around the resort for extended periods.&middot; Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li></ul>Work Location: In person
