</li></ul>WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This role is focused on a strategic, hands-on content leader who understands that search is changing - and knows how to create content that performs in both traditional search engines and AI-driven discovery tools. As our Content Strategist, you'll develop and execute a modern content strategy focused on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO).

This role goes beyond blog posts and landing pages - it's about structuring and packaging information so that it's visible, cited, and trusted by search engines, AI assistants, and buyers alike. You'll collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure our content drives awareness, engagement, and conversions.

In collaboration with marketing team, you will also develop and update content across written communications, brochures, videos/scripts, and digital content for use on the web and live delivery.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who is also willing to execute content development in-house, significantly reducing reliance on external agencies. A background in technical content, engineering and / or manufacturing is highly preferred

Lead Content Strategy &amp; Planning
<ul>
<li>Own the end-to-end content strategy - from editorial planning to production workflows - across our websites, landing pages, social channels and sales content.</li>
<li>Build and manage a content calendar aligned with product marketing, demand gen, and SEO/AEO goals.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams to identify content gaps, prioritize topics, and map them to the customer journey.</li>
</ul>
Create &amp; Optimize for AI-First Discovery
<ul>
<li>Develop AEO-optimized content that directly answers high-intent buyer and user questions.</li>
<li>Apply structured content techniques
</li><li>Experiment with emerging AI search tools and discovery platforms to extend content reach.</li>
</ul>
Measure, Analyze &amp; Iterate
<ul>
<li>Monitor and analyze performance across organic, AI, and referral channels.</li>
<li>Translate insights into action by refining strategy and improving content formats.</li>
<li>Stay ahead of evolving search and AEO trends to keep PennEngineering competitive.</li>

Requirements:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
<ul>
<li>5+ years of content strategy experience, ideally in the B2B industrial space or in a fast-paced marketing team.</li>
<li>Expertise in writing and structuring content for both humans and machines.</li>
<li>Experience creating content that has ranked in featured snippets, voice search, or been cited by AI assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Grok and others).</li>
<li>Strong editorial instincts with the ability to simplify complex topics.</li>
<li>Familiarity with tools like Jasper, or ChatGPT - and how to integrate AI into your workflow.</li>
<li>Ability to balance quick-turn execution with long-term brand storytelling.</li>
<li>Comfortable working cross-functionally in a large scale, global environment.</li>
<li>Experience in managing freelance writers or agency partners a plus.</li>
<li>Background in journalism, technical writing, or UX writing a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, at all levels of the organization in English is required. Proficient in German, Spanish and Chinese a plus.</li>
