Consider joining the Pennex family as an Operations Manager, Fabrication at our Leetonia, OH location. This role manages and coordinates activities of the Leetonia Precision Engineered Products (PEP) department engaged in cutting, machining, stretch-forming, assembly and other value-added activities for structural, automotive, ornamental and other aluminum products. This position works alongside other departments, such as engineering, operations, maintenance, sales, and quality to ensure the highest quality, highest margin products are manufactured in a safe environment.</div>
Responsibilities:
<div><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Fosters our dual bottom-line philosophy by leading and demonstrating a culture of safety excellence and engaging employees in behavior-based safety initiatives.</li><li>
Responsible for leading, coaching, and evaluating all shifts for the Precision Engineered Products team.</li><li>
Directly and indirectly leads the department through Supervisors across multiple shifts thereby optimizing performance.</li><li>
Monitoring business goals and metrics, executing the business plan and meeting key metrics such as safety, profitability and sales volume.</li><li>
Provides operational leadership ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.</li><li>
Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.</li><li>
Develops and implements operating methods to improve quality production along with internal and external customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Develops and implements methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating and maintenance issues while improving product quality.</li><li>
Responsible for developing subordinates, increasing their overall performance and enhancing their future growth.</li><li>
Reviews production costs and product quality and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of department.</li><li>
Reviews monthly financials, analyzes results, and develops strategies to increase profitability.</li><li>
Prepares annual operational budget, ensuring accuracy while establishing required resources and planning necessary to achieve sales and profitability targets.</li><li>
Key management representative that ensures departmental compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and our IATF 16949 certification.</li><li>
Coordinates with other Pennex operations to develop business opportunities.</li><li>
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product and suggests changes in use of equipment to increase efficiency.</li><li>
Works with outside processors to manage the production and quality of those processors to meet the customer demands and requirements.</li><li>
Actively participates in safety training, insuring compliance to Pennex and OSHA regulations.</li><li>
Manages PEP Supervisors across all shifts and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation and performance of this unit.</li><li>
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; these include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li><li>
Maintains a clean and safe work environment for the employees.</li><li>
Responsible for the P&amp;L of the Fabrication department.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:

Ideal Candidate Will Have:</b></p><p></p><p><b><br>
Education</b></p><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business, supply chain or engineering or equivalent experience is required.</li></ul><p><b>
Experience</b></p><ul><li>
7 to 10 years of manufacturing leadership experience</li><li>
7 to 10 years of fabrication experience in advanced manufacturing</li><li>
Technical/machining background &ndash; PEP/metals fabrication experience preferred</li><li>
Thorough understanding of advanced manufacturing</li><li>
Strong analytical skills with production experience</li><li>
Experience managing multiple process streams</li><li>
Ability to work cross functionally within the organization (finance, sales, operations, leadership)
</li><li>Understand the core competencies of a fabrication environment in a Tier 1 automotive supplier</li><li>
Automotive experience</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
