 Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a
 
 Graduate Mechanical Engineer
 
 to contribute to our multi-discipline site design projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in New York, NY. In this role, you&rsquo;ll design heating and cooling systems for newly constructed, renovated or retrofitted buildings across New York City and beyond. Your goal in working with a team of engineers and subconsultants will be to maximize energy efficiency while optimizing atmosphere for occupants in skyscrapers, hospitals, residences, schools and all building types that make up our habitats.
 
 
 
 Primary Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assist in the design and engineering of building mechanical systems, including HVAC systems, plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary waste/vent, storm drainage), hydronic piping systems, DDC temperature control systems, smoke control/evacuation systems, and emergency/standby generator fuel systems, as applicable to facility infrastructure projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Support evaluation of HVAC and plumbing system design alternatives considering energy performance, environmental impact, constructability, and life-cycle cost analysis
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and coordinate conceptual and schematic design documents, and assist in progressing projects through design development and construction documents under the supervision of licensed engineers
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct field visits, site surveys, inspections, and assessments to verify existing conditions, evaluate system performance, and confirm compliance with design intent and applicable codes
 </li>
 <li>
 Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and performing site observations during construction
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform additional duties as assigned in support of project and team needs

 </ul>
 
 Basic Requirement
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
 </li>
 <li>
 Interest in sustainable building design
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong desire to learn; motivation to ask and answer questions
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellence in oral and written communication
 </li>
 <li>
 Careful attention to detail

 </ul>
 
 Preferred Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 FE / EIT is preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Critical thinkers who have creative problem-solving skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification are a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills with attention to detail
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment supporting multiple concurrent projects, with strong self-motivation and effective prioritization of tasks and deadlines
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to team members, clients, and project stakeholders

Graduate Mechnical Engineer

<div>We are hiring for a Senior Engineering Division Manager to join our team on a full-time, direct basis while based in the Delray Beach, FL area.

Primary Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Manage and grow the structural engineering practice in South Florida.
</li><li>Manage client relationships and staff</li>
<li>Perform and oversee a variety of structural design, renovation, and inspection projects for various applications: new construction, design build, renovations, adaptive reuse, etc.</li>
<li>Perform and oversee structural design &amp; analysis of building structural systems for a variety of markets: commercial, institutional, educational, public-sector, and industrial facilities.</li>
<li>Design, detailing, and analysis of structures for low-rise &amp; mid-rise buildings with a variety of materials (e.g.: concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and cold-form steel).</li>
<li>Perform and oversee the preparation of calculations and drawings for reports.</li>
<li>Develop finite element models for the analysis of complex structures.</li>
<li>Perform field-oriented tasks (e.g.: investigations, site visits, threshold inspections, condition assessments, etc.) and develop corresponding site visit reports.</li>
<li>Work directly with clients to foster positive relationships and maintain base business accounts.
</li><li>Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Knowledge of, and experience in, South Florida
</li><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering with Structural discipline emphasis.
</li><li>8 years+ years of professional experience working in Structural Engineering.
</li><li>Active P.E. license in Florida.
</li><li>Possessing some of their own base-business accounts is a plus</li>
<li>Proficiency with engineering / CADD / BIM tools; experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a requirement.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of structural analysis software; experience with RAM (especially Structural Systems and/or Elements), STAAD, ENERCALC, and/or Mathcad are preferred.</li>
<li>Proficiency in all standard Microsoft Office software applications.</li>
<li>Strong analytical skills.</li>
<li>Experience working with the design and analysis of a variety of structural systems / complex projects; experience with nonlinear structural analysis is a plus!</li>
<li>Experience working with structural inspections / assessments, especially with renovation projects.</li>
<li>Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.</li>
<li>Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills (verbal &amp; written).</li>
