No previous camp experience required &mdash; we provide training!</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
The Details</b></h2><ul><li>$18/hour starting pay</li><li>$19/hour with lifeguard certification (we can help you get certified!)</li><li>June 15 &ndash; August 15</li><li>Up to 40 hours per week</li><li>Five required training evenings (5:00&ndash;9:00 PM, dates TBD)</li><li>Daytime hours between 7:30 AM &ndash; 5:30 PM (rotating shifts)</li></ul><p>

Job Requirements</b></h1><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Essential Responsibilities</b></h2><ul><li>Supervise and actively engage a group of children throughout the camp day</li><li>Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities that reflect YMCA values</li><li>Maintain a safe, clean, and positive camp environment</li><li>Attend required staff meetings and trainings</li><li>Follow YMCA policies related to safety, medical needs, behavior guidance, child abuse prevention, and emergencies</li><li>Communicate positively and professionally with parents, campers, and fellow staff</li><li>Perform other duties as needed to support a successful camp season</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications</b></h2><ul><li>Preferred experience working with children (camp, babysitting, sports, tutoring, etc.)</li><li>Skills or interests in areas such as sports, outdoor recreation, arts &amp; crafts, music, aquatics, or games are a plus</li><li>Must be at least 16 years old (minimum age may vary based on state law and YMCA policies)</li><li>CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hire (training provided)</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Physical Requirements</b></h2><p>
This is an active job! Counselors should be able to:</p><ul><li>Lead and participate in outdoor and indoor activities</li><li>Stand, walk, and move for extended periods</li><li>Participate in games, sports, and group activities</li></ul><p>
