<div>PMC: Grant Writer &amp; Strategic Funding Specialist

The Grant Writer &amp; Strategic Funding Specialist will lead the development of compelling proposals and partnerships that align our company's creative, cultural, and impact-driven initiatives with external funding opportunities. This role bridges media, events, sustainability, and philanthropy, helping to secure grants and funding that advance initiatives in areas such as community development, environmental sustainability, arts and culture, technology innovation, and workforce empowerment.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape and fund projects that span world-renowned cultural events, global media campaigns, and international community initiatives.

As PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, employees work onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely with a focus on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities

Grant &amp; Funding Strategy
<ul>
<li>Develop a comprehensive funding roadmap that aligns with company initiatives &mdash; including SXSW &amp; DCP programming, the Bahamas island sustainability project, and cause-driven media campaigns.</li>
<li>Identify government, foundation, and corporate funding sources that support creative industries, sustainable development, and cultural innovation.</li>
<li>Collaborate with leadership to define funding priorities and social impact objectives.</li>
</ul>
Grant Research &amp; Writing
<ul>
<li>Research, write, and submit high-quality grant proposals, concept papers, and sponsorship applications.</li>
<li>Craft persuasive narratives that demonstrate our measurable social, cultural, and economic impact.</li>
<li>Coordinate with internal departments (content, sustainability, community engagement, events) to source data, stories, and budgets.</li>
</ul>
Partnership &amp; Relationship Management
<ul>
<li>Cultivate relationships with foundations, government agencies, NGOs, tourism boards, film commissions, and private funders.</li>
<li>Manage reporting and compliance requirements for awarded grants.</li>
<li>Support the development of public&ndash;private partnerships around creative industries, sustainable tourism, and media innovation.</li>
</ul>
Impact Measurement &amp; Storytelling
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with analytics and editorial teams to quantify project outcomes (e.g., jobs created, communities impacted, audiences reached).</li>
<li>Use our media brands to communicate impact stories and enhance visibility with funders.</li>
<li>Integrate storytelling and social responsibility messaging across grant deliverables and impact reports.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree required, master's in Communications, Journalism, Business, Public Policy, or related field preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum 5+ years of experience in grant writing, fundraising, or development &mdash; ideally with exposure to creative industries, sustainability, or global initiatives.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success securing funding from government agencies (e.g., NEA, NEH, USAID), foundations, or corporate giving programs.</li>
<li>Exceptional writing and storytelling ability, capable of translating complex initiatives into compelling proposals.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.</li>
<li>Familiarity with funding landscapes for arts, culture, technology, sustainability, and social innovation.</li>
</ul>
Preferred Experience
<ul>
<li>Experience developing large-scale, cross-sector partnerships that blend commercial and social impact objectives.</li>
<li>Background in creative industries, cultural diplomacy, international development, or corporate social responsibility.</li>
<li>Understanding of sustainability funding mechanisms, especially those related to renewable energy, local economic development, and community empowerment.</li>
<li>Knowledge of federal and international grant portals (e.g., Grants.gov, UN/USAID programs, and philanthropic databases).</li>
</ul>
Typical wage range: $95k - $120k. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
