Position Summary:
As a Wastewater Technician at Pentagon, you will be responsible for the mixing of chemicals, chemical analysis of tank compositions, and treating chemical waste from our facilities. The hours for this role are Sun-Thurs, 10pm-6:30am.
What You&rsquo;ll Do:
<ul><li>Treat waste from processes and manage chemical waste, including filtration and the maintenance of chemical tanks.
</li><li>Collect and review data related to instrument performance, part pass/fail rates, and inventory usage, collaborating with engineering on baseline data monitoring.
</li><li>Inspect and process components from initial stage to completion, maintaining quality control.
</li><li>Support Chemists and Senior Wastewater Laboratory Technicians as needed.
</li><li>Maintain equipment calibration and operational status; participate in safety training as required.
</li><li>Communicate status updates, incidents, and requests with team members.
</li><li>Strong mathematical skills for processing inventory and performing complex calculations related to chemistry concentrations.
</li><li>Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols, particularly in relation to hazardous waste management.
</li><li>Experience with chemical background and hazardous waste management, particularly in industrial settings is preferred.
</li><li>Knowledge of machinery and pumps related to wastewater treatment processes.
</li></ul>Safety:
 Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements
Work Environment:
 Must be able to function well in an office environment. Must also be able to work in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment. Must also be able to perform in a laboratory environment. Persons who are sensitive to chemical environments with such medical conditions as asthma, allergies, or extreme sensitivity to chemicals may not be considered as good candidates for this position. Able to travel to the various Pentagon Technologies Facilities as required. PPE is required.
Physical Demands:
 Must pass Company required screening tests. The employee is regularly required to sit and stand, reach with hands and arms and perform light routine office work, which includes computer workstation usage. Should be able to pick-up 35 lbs on occasional or regular basis.
