JOB SUMMARY:
The Legal Operations Manager will report directly to the General Counsel. In this fully remote role, you'll have the unique opportunity to design and build our legal operations function from the ground up, including selecting and implementing the systems you'll be responsible for managing.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>
Lead comprehensive legal tech stack development - Select, implement, and administer our Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system and other legal technology solutions</li><li>
Design and implement legal operations workflows including legal landing page/wiki, document management systems, and process optimization</li><li>
Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to implement new tools and systems across the organization</li><li>
Serve as the primary admin for all legal department software and technology platforms</li><li>
Develop and manage an efficient legal intake process to improve prioritization and transparency</li><li>
Triage, prioritize, and respond to legal requests across the organization</li><li>
Manage day-to-day legal administrative functions including reviewing documents, subpoenas, NDAs, and other legal requests</li><li>
Create and maintain metrics dashboards to track legal department KPIs and demonstrate value to the company</li><li>
Reduce backlog of legal work through process improvements and efficient workflows</li><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for routine legal matters</li><li>
Collaborate with the GC to create and build out the legal operations function</li><li>
Evaluate and implement AI legal tools to enhance department efficiency</li></ul>
Requirements:

EDUCATION &amp; CERTIFICATIONS :<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or related field (legal certification a plus)</li></ul>
EXPERIENCE:
Required:<ul><li>
Demonstrated experience working in startups or lean legal teams</li><li>
3-5 years of experience in legal operations or similar role</li><li>
Demonstrated experience working in startups or lean legal teams</li><li>
Proven track record implementing and administering a CLM system</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) - we are currently converting from Google to Microsoft</li><li>
Strong organizational skills with ability to triage, prioritize, and manage multiple requests</li><li>
Experience handling routine legal documents (NDAs, subpoenas, basic contracts)</li><li>
Proficiency in data analysis and using metrics to drive performance improvements</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with ability to translate legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders</li><li>
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and autonomously in a remote environment</li><li>
Experience or familiarity with AI-powered legal tools for contract analysis, document review, and workflow automation</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
Experience in healthcare, healthcare tech, or digital health industries</li><li>
Familiarity with Juro, LinkSquares, or similar CLM platforms</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, or related field (legal certification a plus)</li><li>
Experience developing and implementing legal department KPIs</li><li>
Knowledge of legal compliance requirements in healthcare/digital health</li><li>
Demonstrated success leveraging AI legal tools to improve efficiency and accuracy</li></ul>
