 The Director Finance will be a strategic partner to the leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, M&amp;A initiatives, compliance, fundraising, and overall fiscal governance. This role demands strong business acumen, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-growing, innovation-driven environment.
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 1. Mergers &amp; Acquisitions (M&amp;A) &middot; Identify strategic M&amp;A opportunities aligned with business objectives. &middot; Lead end-to-end deal lifecycle target evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and transaction closure. &middot; Build business cases, risk assessments, and integration plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams. &middot; Manage relationships with investment bankers, advisors, legal teams, and industry partners.
 
 
 
 
 
 2. Accounts &amp; Finance Management &middot; Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. &middot; Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. &middot; Strengthen internal financial controls, cash-flow planning, and treasury operations. &middot; Drive cost optimization initiatives, unit economics analysis, and profitability improvement across product lines. &middot; Provide strategic insights to management through data-driven analysis and MIS dashboards.
 
 
 
 
 
 3. Fundraising &amp; Investor Relations &middot; Drive equity and debt fundraising initiatives to fuel growth. &middot; Prepare investor materials pitch decks, financial models, projections, and business plans.
 
 
 Engage with current and prospective investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners. &middot; Manage due diligence, documentation, and compliance related to fundraising. &middot; Support board presentations and investor reporting.
 
 
 
 
 
 4. Compliance &amp; Governance &middot; Ensure compliance with all statutory, tax, regulatory, and audit requirements (Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, FEMA, etc.). &middot; Oversee secretarial function in collaboration with legal &amp; CS teams. &middot; Drive timely closure of internal, statutory, and external audits. &middot; Implement risk-management frameworks and strengthen corporate governance practices.
 
 
 &middot; Manage compliance for subsidiaries, JV entities, and international operations as applicable.
 
 
 
 
 
 5. Strategic Leadership &middot; Contribute to long-term business strategy and financial planning. &middot; Serve as a financial advisor to the founders and the leadership team. &middot; Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team to build strong internal capability. &middot; Drive systems implementation, automation, and process improvements to scale with company&rsquo;s growth.
 
 
 
 
 
 Required Qualifications &amp; Experience &middot;
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
 </li>
 <li>
 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles &middot;
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong experience in M&amp;A transactions, fundraising, and financial modelling.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven track record in building and managing full-stack finance functions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in manufacturing, climate-tech, agri-tech, or similar high-growth sectors is an advantage
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
 </li>

 &bull; 4 years of experience supporting senior leadership / C-suite level, Calendar and travel management, MOM.
 
 
 &bull; Strong analytical and presentation skills
 
 
 &bull; Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
 
 
 &bull; High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
