 Overview
 
 
 
 This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our patients as a Transporter at Perimeter Behavioral Health. In this role, you will provide transportation to residents to and from appointments and outings and provides direct care and supervision of residents on the milieu and during activities as requested by supervisor
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Assess patient behavior and document observations during assigned shifts
 </li>
 <li>
 Model and teach appropriate life skills to promote independent living
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists with the admission, discharge, and transfer of residents and maintains appointment and transport logs. Conducts inventory checks per guidelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supports nurses with non-technical tasks, following infection control policies, and manages medical record requests in line with HIPAA and company policies. Communicates effectively with residents.
 </li>
 <li>
 Facilitates off-site trips, including 12-15 hour excursions. Maintains company vehicle logs, ensures cleanliness, and reports any safety or maintenance issues promptly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Escort patients and assist with daily living activities as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for our patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide de-escalation and physical intervention if necessary (training provided)
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High school diploma or equivalent required
 </li>
 <li>
 21 years of age
 </li>
 <li>
 1+ years of experience in a healthcare, behavioral, or social services setting preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work a rotating schedule including days, evenings, overnight and weekend shifts
 </li>
 <li>
 Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift, and assist with patient interventions
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid Class F Drivers License
