The Opportunity:
Perkins Eastman has an immediate need for an Intermediate Interior Designer. This ideal candidate will work closely with other designers and architects on the project teams to which they are assigned, to design, document and execute the project through installation. The Interior Designer will participate in envisioning, designing, and documenting interior spaces, as well as FF&amp;E.
Primary Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Works with the senior interior designers to envision the concept story, project narrative and graphics for concept presentations.</li>
<li>Work with senior interior designers to further develop design concepts and materials for presentation and implantation.</li>
<li>Assist team in space planning and furniture layouts.</li>
<li>Create FF&amp;E budgets and matrices</li>
<li>Prepare/assemble FF&amp;E packages to include specifications, bid packages, and sample requests. Work with select purchasing agents to review pricing.</li>
<li>Prepare schedules relative to the interior design including finishes, decorative lighting, bath accessories, and plumbing fixtures.</li>
<li>Prepare, coordinate and complete contract document packages.</li>
<li>Participate in client meetings and presentations.</li>
<li>Assist with construction administration including responding to RFI&rsquo;s, preparing sketches, and visiting the project site and preparing field notes.</li>
<li>Reviews and approves shop drawings and samples (both FF&amp;E related, and contractor related) with final approval by Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager</li>
<li>Responsible for meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.</li>
</ul>
Required Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in interior design or equivalent.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 to 8 years of related industry experience required.</li>
<li>NCIDQ certified or pursuing certification preferred.</li>
<li>Has LEED accreditation or is willing to pursue it in the next 6 months.</li>
<li><ul><li>Hospitality, Senior Living and/or Multi-Family experience preferred.</li></ul></li>
<li>Self-starter, passionate about design.</li>
<li>Possesses interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Possesses knowledge of building and ADA codes.</li>
<li>Proficiency in design software, including Revit, Enscape, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity, and rendering tools.
</li><li>Strong communication, organization, time management skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.</li>
<li>Ability to produce and coordinate a complete set of construction documents for permit and bid.</li>

PE has a hybrid policy that allows flexibility for our employees in managing their working days and hours to cater to their diverse needs.
Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $74,000
