As a Senior Software Engineer at Personify Health, you turn product ideas into working software that members rely on to engage with their health. You own features end to end&mdash;from design through production&mdash;and step in when things break, because reliability matters when health is on the line. Your code helps keep a complex platform stable, scalable, and moving forward without slowing teams down.</div><div>
You&rsquo;ll also help the team build and ship smarter by applying AI tools and practices in day-to-day engineering workflows&mdash;without compromising quality, security, or maintainability.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
What You'll Actually Do</b></div><div><br>
</div><ul><li>Design, code, and test new platform components, features, and enhancements for our native mobile platforms (Kotlin)</li><li>Collaborate with agile cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features</li><li>Triage, analyze, and improve app performance in production</li><li>Participate in sprint ceremonies to design solutions, estimate effort, and plan work effectively</li><li>Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability</li><li>Monitor platform performance tools in production and raise awareness with the team</li><li>Use AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g., coding assistants, test-generation support, documentation/chat tools) to accelerate delivery, reduce toil, and improve developer productivity</li><li>Apply AI responsibly by validating outputs, protecting sensitive data, and following secure coding and compliance practices</li><li>Share practical AI workflows and prompt patterns with teammates to improve team velocity and engineering quality</li></ul><div>

Qualifications:
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What You Bring to Our Team</b></h3><ul><li>4+ years of mobile development experience</li><li>Outstanding problem-solving skills and a solid grasp of object-oriented programming</li><li>Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle</li><li>Strong communication skills, openness to collaborate, and enthusiasm to deliver as part of a team</li><li>A passion for learning technologies and applying them pragmatically</li><li>Ability to contribute to technical discussions and openness to listen and learn from peers</li><li>Comfort using modern AI tools in everyday software development workflows (implementation, debugging, testing, documentation), with strong engineering judgment</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
You Should Be Familiar With</b></div><div></div><ul><li><br>
Kotlin</li><li>Working with remote data via REST and JSON</li><li>Android SDK</li><li>Third-party libraries and APIs</li><li>Writing unit tests</li><li>Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies</li><li>Android design principles and interface guidelines</li><li>Continuous integration</li><li>Android frameworks</li><li>Design patterns</li><li>AI-assisted development tools and practices to speed delivery while maintaining code quality</li></ul><div><b><br>

Experience with reactive programming (RxJava, RxKotlin)</li><li>Experience with offline storage, DBMS (Room), multithreading, and performance tuning</li><li>Experience with continuous integration and delivery</li><li>Experience with common Android architectures (MVVM)</li><li>Familiarity with Bluetooth, NFC, or other short-distance wireless technologies</li><li>Experience building accessible apps</li><li>Experience publishing apps</li><li>Experience monitoring app health through tools</li><li>Demonstrated ability to improve team throughput using practical AI workflows (for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation)</li></ul><p></p><div><b><br>
