Pete King Construction, a commercial drywall contractor, is seeking a dependable Construction Yard Laborer / Tool Repair Technician to support our field operations. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing construction tools and equipment, assisting with yard operations, performing general labor tasks, and operating company vehicles, including commercial vehicles such as a scrap truck, when needed.OverviewJoin our dynamic team as a Yard Laborer and be a vital part of maintaining a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible outdoor work environment. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks related to material handling, equipment operation, and site cleanliness, ensuring smooth operations at our recycling and waste management facility. Your energy and attention to safety will contribute directly to our commitment to environmental compliance and community service.Duties<ul><li>Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to move recyclable materials and waste efficiently.</li><li>Handle recyclable materials responsibly, adhering to hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols.</li><li>Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.</li><li>Assist with landfill management tasks, including waste sorting, sanitation, and environmental compliance efforts.</li><li>Conduct outdoor work activities such as cleaning work areas, managing debris, and ensuring the site remains organized and safe.</li><li>Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly at all times to maintain safety standards.</li><li>Support recycling initiatives by sorting materials and ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Prior experience operating material handling equipment such as loaders, forklifts, excavators or similar machinery is preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely in outdoor environments.</li><li>Familiarity with safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and hazardous materials handling.</li><li>Experience working outdoors in various weather conditions with a focus on sanitation and environmental compliance.</li><li>Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing or sanitation industries is a plus.</li></ul>We are looking for<ul><li>Experience hauling construction equipment preferred (booms, scissors, etc.)</li><li>Able to safely chain/strap loads and operate ramps/trailers</li><li>Reliable, professional, and safety-focused</li><li>Comfortable working outdoors in Arizona conditions and lifting/moving materials as needed</li><li>Ability to lift heavy materials and assist with loading/unloading.</li></ul>Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Safety equipment provided</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
