Job Description
Peterson Power Systems has a need for a Quality Engineer who is based in the state of Wisconsin.
SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer supports quality management at various supplier facilities and job sites, ensuring Peterson Power&rsquo;s quality program is maintained and continuously improved upon. This position is specifically dedicated to large complex and longer-duration projects with a high degree of &quot;design/build&quot; engineering and on-site customer interaction, with customers that are typically Global accounts or large engineering &amp; construction firms working for municipalities. This role works closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Technicians, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure that Peterson Power&rsquo;s product quality meets or exceeds our customers&rsquo; needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain and communicate quality documents to ensure project objectives are met.</li><li>
Aid in establishing and implementing quality best practices for all stakeholders.</li><li>
Work with suppliers to ensure equipment quality standards are met.</li><li>
Collaborate with clients and Caterpillar in assessing supplier quality.</li><li>
Assist Sales and Operations teams in quality processes and activities.</li><li>
Work with Project Managers to aid in start-up and commissioning document completion.
</li><li>Oversee project issue logs, inspections, quality records, and final reports.</li><li>
Perform shop tests, site tests, and quality inspections on equipment.</li><li>
Provide technical support related to quality and/or commissioning to suppliers, vendors, customers, and sales team as needed.</li><li>
Respond to customers&rsquo; quality needs with the direction of the Quality Manager.</li><li>
Utilize multiple software platforms in daily activities such as CxAlloy and SharePoint.
</li><li>Execute supplier quality assessments / audits as necessary.</li><li>
Perform End-Of-Line inspections on customer equipment.</li><li>
Provide quality reports to Quality Manager.</li><li>
Perform quality management system audits at suppliers on behalf of customers.
</li><li>Travel up to 50% of the time to customer job sites, vendor and supplier sites, and to meet with members of the Peterson Power team.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in Business or other closely related field; and a minimum of five (5) years of directly related experience in quality management in the construction industry; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Quality-related certification(s) preferred. Some examples include Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Technician, Certified Quality Engineer, and/or Six Sigma Green/Yellow/Black Belt.
Must maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license and a satisfactory driving record.
