The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing monthly material and manufacturing variances, inventory reserves, inventory movement, costs of sales, and system cost flows. You'll be responsible for investigating data. This role collaborates with manufacturing to understand and communicate monthly operational cost variances, prepare monthly financial performance packages, and prepare monthly journal entries. The Sr. Cost Accountant reports to the Assistant Operations Controller.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:<ul><li>
Reconcile inventory transactions and prepare monthly journal entries</li><li>
Design and prepare monthly Operations Financial Performance Package</li><li>
Support quarterly forecasting process and annual budget preparation</li><li>
Identify opportunities to increase efficiency in month end close process</li></ul>
The ideal candidate has a passion for driving efficiency with a proactive mindset to achieve results. You're a self-starter with the ability to shift focus and priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual will collaborate with the operations team to better understand manufacturing and logistics processes. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You'll be most successful in this role if you have:
<ul><li>Experience in cost accounting working in a manufacturing environment</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>
Demonstrated clear concise communication skills</li><li>
Advanced Excel Skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision</li></ul>
In order to take on these challenges, you'll need to have:<ul><li>
Four-year college or university degree or its equivalent in Accounting or business related field</li><li>
2+ years' experience in Cost Accounting, financial modeling and analysis in a Manufacturing environment</li><li>
Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control, and general accounting principles</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access</li><li>
Experience in JDEdwards, Oracle or related ERP system</li></ul>

SALARY RANGE
National Target Base Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $133,000.00. The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $88,000 - $146,000, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
