As a Procurement Specialist, you play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process for a power electronics manufacturing company. Your responsibilities encompass sourcing, negotiating, and planning the acquisition of critical components and materials. Let&rsquo;s delve into the details: 
Responsibilities:

<ul><li>Sourcing and Procurement:
<ul><li>Quoting and Procuring: Obtain quotes and purchase electro/mechanical components, fabricated items, printed circuit boards, and hardware using an MRP system.</li>
<li>Vendor Interface: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to secure competitive prices and favorable delivery dates.</li>
<li>Parts Database Maintenance: Update and manage the parts database for buying and quoting purposes.</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Research and Evaluation:
<ul><li>Electronics Components: Research, evaluate, and purchase electronics components based on demand, price, and quality.</li>
<li>MRO Items: Procure maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) items.</li>
<li>Miscellaneous Services: Acquire services as needed.</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Customer Quotes and Bid Analysis:
<ul><li>Customer Quotes: Work on customer quotes, ensuring competitive pricing and lead times.</li>
<li>Bid Results: Analyze bid results and make informed recommendations.</li>
<li>Purchase Orders (POs): Process purchase orders, review completeness, accuracy, and risk management.</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Supply Chain Coordination:
<ul><li>MRP Demand Monitoring: Monitor MRP demand and exception reports to prepare and distribute POs.</li>
<li>Vendor Bidding: Obtain at least three bids from qualified vendors.</li>
<li>Material Shortages: Address material shortages and expedite deliveries with suppliers.</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Quality Control and Problem Resolution:
<ul><li>MRB Issues: Address defective or unacceptable goods/services with quality control personnel and vendors.</li>
<li>Purchase Order Tracking: Maintain a personal log of purchase orders.</li>
<li>Supplier Communication: Collaborate with suppliers regarding late deliveries and urgent orders.</li>
<li>Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile quantity and pricing discrepancies with the accounting department.</li>
</ul></li></ul><ul><li>Other Supply Chain duties and projects assigned.</li></ul></div> 


Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Education: A bachelor&rsquo;s degree is advantageous.</li>
<li>Experience: A minimum of 2 years of related experience in purchasing and materials planning, preferably using MRP/ERP systems.</li>
<li>Skills:
<ul><li>Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.</li>
<li>Ability to work with cross-functional teams on process improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Strong negotiation skills and excellent oral/written communication.</li>
<li>Must be a US person and available to work long hours in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.</li></ul></li></ul>
