Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>
Familiar with all types of immigration practices including employment based, individual and family-based petitions and applications.</li><li>
Experience with H-2A and H-2B case documentation and procedure for agriculture and other temp workers.</li><li>
Provide support to the attorneys in the preparation and filing of petitions and applications with federal government agencies.</li><li>
Experience in preparing H-1B visa petitions.</li><li>
Experience with PERM cases.</li><li>
Provide consult on immigration audits including pleading clips, recruitment, calendaring, and familiarity with immigration forms.</li><li>
Organize and maintain files from the inception of the case through the completion.</li><li>
Interact with various government and court officials as well as with clients.</li><li>
Maintain attorney calendars with case deadlines.</li></ul><div><b>
Education and Experience Required:</b></div>
<ul><li>
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. A four-year college degree and a certificate in paralegal studies is preferred. Significant prior experience may be substituted for a combination of the educational requirements.</li><li>
2+ years experience and the ability to manage immigration case management software is required.</li><li>
Must have a high level of computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office Suite and a working knowledge of a document management system.</li><li>
Experience using electronic resources is strongly preferred.</li><li>
Excellent time management, organizational abilities and strong proofreading skills are also required.</li><li>
Spanish language skills (both written and spoken) are highly desirable.</li></ul><br>

Paralegal - Immigration

The paralegal shall perform various substantive legal duties under the supervision and direction of the attorneys in the Litigation practice group. The ideal candidate will have strong technology skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.</p><br>

<p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul><li>
Organize and maintain document intensive files from the inception of the case through the completion.</li><li>
Conduct factual investigations and interviews to identify key parties, related issues and relevant documents for the preparation of discovery.</li><li>
Review E-discovery for production.</li><li>
Review production documents for extraction of key documents.</li><li>
Assist in the preparation of answers to interrogatories and responses to requests for production of documents including the production of electronically stored information.</li><li>
Coordinate depositions of parties requested by attorneys.</li><li>
Summarize and organize depositions, records, medical records and testimony utilizing litigation support technology tools.</li><li>
Draft various pleadings and filings in Federal and State level civil litigation matters.</li><li>
Assist with all aspects of case litigation, trial preparation including identifying and marking exhibits for motions, position papers, mediation depositions and trial.</li><li>
Verify case citations in briefs for current validity and accuracy through Westlaw.</li><li>
Interact with various government and court officials as well as with clients.</li><li>
Maintain attorney calendars with case deadlines.</li><li>
Assist in trial with exhibits, demonstrative aids and witnesses.</li><li>
Maintain timesheets and meet firm deadlines in accordance with Firm policies.</li><li>
Knowledge of document review platforms (<i>e.g. </i>Relativity, Reveal, Casepoint, and Everlaw).</li><li>
Communicate and coordinate with experts for key data, reports and supporting documents.</li><li>
Perform other duties as required.</li></ul><p><b>
Education and Experience Required:</b></p>
<ul><li>
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required. A four-year college degree and a certificate in paralegal studies is preferred. Significant prior experience may be substituted for a combination of the educational requirements.</li><li>
A minimum of three years litigation experience and the ability to manage complex litigation using current technology is preferred.</li></ul>
