The Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials from suppliers to customers. This position requires a keen focus on coordinating all aspects of transportation, including scheduling, tracking, and troubleshooting to guarantee timely delivery. Additionally, the role demands a thorough understanding of regulations and compliance standards related to shipping and logistics. This ensures that all shipments, whether domestic or international, adhere to legal requirements, including customs and import/export rules. Through efficient coordination and problem-solving, the Logistics Coordinator minimizes delays, optimizes costs, and maintains an uninterrupted flow of goods, ultimately supporting the overall success of the business.
Schedule: Monday &ndash; Friday: 7:00 am &ndash; 4:00 pm (On-site)
Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Follow up on automated emails from carriers regarding delivery appointment changes.</li><li>Assign a dedicated person to monitor every order's shipping and receiving process.</li><li>Reschedule orders to new ship dates in case of delays.</li><li>Manage demurrage charges for PBS deliveries.</li><li>Oversee PBS truck delivery appointments.</li><li>Address carrier delivery issues, including delays at the customer's dock.</li><li>Handle trucking claims.</li><li>Generate truck freight reports.</li><li>Approve payments through Bill.com.</li><li>Maintain the daily appointment calendar, adding additional days or weeks as needed.</li><li>Process shipping claims.</li><li>Manage the Logistics email inbox.</li><li>Prepare shipping tags and notices in EDI.</li><li>Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments.</li><li>Organize end-of-week line-ups with carriers.</li><li>Prepare meat line-ups for the following week&rsquo;s deliveries.</li><li>Perform all other related duties as required.</li></ul>
Requirements: 
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.</li><li>
3-5 years of proven experience working as a Logistics Coordinator.</li><li>
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is preferred, specifically Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central.</li><li>
Proficiency in all Microsoft applications.</li><li>
QuickBooks experience is a plus.</li><li>
Good oral &amp; written communication skills.</li><li>
Customer service skills.</li><li>
Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.</li><li>
Ability to work with deadlines.</li><li>
Focused on orders, quality, and accuracy.</li><li>
Ability to sit for long periods of time at a computer terminal.</li><li>
Ability to stand and walk throughout the warehouse and office building.</li><li>
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity about why things are the way they are; challenge the status quo.</li><li>
