<div>Job Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager role is responsible for managing and overseeing projects within the IT organization, working with individual(s) and/or group(s) across Phoenix Contact, both locally and globally, and including enterprise wide/complex projects. Success will be characterized by, but not limited to effective organization of the projects, delivery of projects on time, within budget, and within scope, meeting project objectives and helping the company realize project benefits. In addition to traditional project management responsibilities, this role will lead the establishment of standardized US PMO processes in alignment with corporate strategy and guidelines.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Provides effective communication and organization of all project activities and collaboration across multiple teams.</li>
<li>Works with team managers to define resource requirements, manage resource availability and allocation, both internal and third party.</li>
<li>Develops project budgets based on requirements and tracks costs to deliver projects on budget.</li>
<li>Prepares detailed project plans to schedule key project milestones, critical path, workstreams, and activities.</li>
<li>Tracks and monitors projects from initiation through delivery, interfacing with all technical and non-technical team members, extended team members and stakeholders as necessary</li>
<li>Provides regular status reports to project teams, key stakeholders and others to be consulted and informed.</li>
<li>Manages and adjusts baselines and timeline for any changes in project scope, schedule, and/or budget.</li>
<li>Identifies and communicates risks and tracks/manages their mitigation.</li>
<li>Manages relationships and communications with clients and/or stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered to the satisfaction of these groups.</li>
<li>Works effectively within a matrix organization with IT service delivery managers and colleagues within the global DPS organization.</li>
<li>Maintains all pertinent documentation including</li>
<li>Requirements and specifications</li>
<li>Risk lists, mitigation, and contingency plans</li>
<li>Milestone checklists</li>
<li>Leads efforts in determination and delivery of IT project needs, capacity planning, prioritization of projects and essential activities as needed and necessary.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in in Information Systems or Business field of study with at least 10 years experience leading IT projects. Or 15 years of IT project management experience.</li>
<li>5 (+) years of relevant IT professional-level work experience preferred.</li>
<li>Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), or the ability to achieve certification within first year.</li>
<li>Strong background in IT disciplines and related architecture</li>
<li>Professional experience with both Agile and Waterfall Project Management methodology.</li>
<li>Demonstrates ability to adapt to diverse cultures, time zones, and related factors.</li>
<li>Excellent presentation and business communication skills for executive, managerial, and individual contributor staff levels.</li>
<li>Assertive and professional attitude, well organized.</li>
<li>Demonstrates self-confidence and leadership qualities</li>
<li>Self-starting, self-motivated, self-confident individual, open to taking on challenges and finding ways to succeed.</li>
<li>Proficient with Windows based office applications and project management tools.</li>
<li>Excellent people skills, easy to work with, and the ability to motivate others.</li>
<li>Demonstrates leadership qualities.</li>
<li>Must be able to work in a global team environment.</li>
<li>Must display a very high degree of adaptability and flexibility to work jointly with others and accept suggestions and new ideas.</li>

<li>Regular and on-time attendance.</li>
<li>This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days in the office.</li>
