<div><div><b>Primary Functions:</b></div><div>
The Procurement Specialist manages company-wide procurement activities, ensuring compliance with federal government regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). These duties include sourcing materials, building and maintaining vendor relationships, processing orders, tracking shipments, recording receipts, updating inventory, working with multiple vendors to achieve the best cost, projecting percurrent needs to take advantage of bulk buying and economic order quantity techniques.</div><div><b><br>
 Position Requirements:</b></div><div><ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Background in technical drawings to support procurement requests.</li><li>
Managing inventory to maintain optimal levels.</li><li>
Proficiency in procurement software.</li></ul></div><div></div><div><b><br>
Preferred:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Experience with procurement software such as Deltek or SAP, with the ability to navigate its procurement module for tasks such as creating purchase orders, managing vendor data, processing requisitions, tracking shipments, recording receipts, updating inventory, and generating reports.</li><li>
General understanding of FAR compliance, including bid requirements, authorization thresholds, and regulatory guidelines.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
 General Experience:</b></div><div><ul><li>
2-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management in a government contracting environment.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
 Functional Responsibility:</b></div><div><ul><li>
Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers and vendors for sourcing materials and commodities.</li><li>
Create and maintain wholesale and retail accounts with vendors to secure competitive pricing.</li><li>
Update and manage vendor databases with accurate information on qualifications, performance, and compliance.</li><li>
Process company-wide purchase orders, coordinating with internal departments to meet needs.</li><li>
Track shipments from order placement to warehouse receipt, resolving issues as needed.</li><li>
Record goods receipts and update inventory records to maintain accurate stock levels.</li><li>
Utilize Deltek Costpoint for procurement tasks, including automation of workflows and report generation.</li><li>
Assist in sourcing vendors via bid boards and evaluate proposals for cost-effectiveness and compliance.</li><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for all company ordering processes.</li></ul></div><div><b><br>
Specialized Experience:</b></div><p>
Experience with government contracting procurement, including FAR-compliant bidding and threshold management. Experience in Deltek Costpoint ERP, with skills in its procurement module for purchase order management, vendor management, requisition processing, shipment tracking, inventory updates, and compliance reporting. Knowledge of supply chain optimization and vendor evaluation techniques.</p><div><b>
Additional requirements:</b></div><div>
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking. Must be detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.</div></div>
