Phoenix Health Care Management Services and Vizient Southern States are seeking a creative, strategic, and highly organized Marketing &amp; Communications Specialist to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a communications professional who enjoys blending creativity with strategy to engage healthcare leaders, members, employees, and industry partners. In this role, you'll develop compelling content, support major events and conferences, manage digital communications, strengthen brand awareness, and help tell the story of organizations that are making a meaningful impact across the healthcare industry.

What You Will Do:
Marketing and Brand Management<ul><li>
Support the development and execution of marketing and communication initiatives for Phoenix Health Care Management Services and Vizient Southern States.</li><li>
Assist in planning and implementing marketing campaigns across digital, email, social media, website, and other communication channels.</li><li>
Ensure brand consistency across all communication materials and platforms.</li><li>
Monitor campaign performance and provide reporting on key metrics and outcomes.</li><li>
Maintain marketing calendars, communication templates, and project plans.</li><li>
Support business development efforts through the creation of marketing materials and promotional resources.</li></ul>
Content Development and Communications<ul><li>
Create, edit, and proofread content including newsletters, brochures, presentations, website content, press releases, social media posts, email campaigns, and executive communications.</li><li>
Develop audience-focused messaging tailored to a variety of stakeholders.</li><li>
Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to create compelling content that supports organizational goals.</li><li>
Assist with organizational announcements, member communications, and leadership messaging.</li></ul>
Internal Communications and Employee Engagement<ul><li>
Support internal communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational awareness.</li><li>
Develop, publish, and distribute the Phoenix Flame employee newsletter in partnership with Human Resources.</li><li>
Assist with employee recognition programs and engagement campaigns.</li></ul>
Event Marketing and Member Engagement<ul><li>
Create and coordinate marketing materials for conferences, network meetings, webinars, collaboratives, and special events.</li><li>
Develop event communications including save-the-dates, brochures, signage, agendas, digital banners, promotional materials, and attendee resources.</li><li>
Support member engagement initiatives and recognition programs, including awards and achievement communications.</li><li>
Coordinate event-related communications and marketing activities from planning through execution.</li></ul>
Digital Media and Social Media<ul><li>
Manage and update website content and digital communication platforms.</li><li>
Create, schedule, and monitor content across social media channels.</li><li>
Track engagement metrics and identify opportunities for increased audience engagement.</li><li>
Monitor healthcare industry and member-related news and share relevant updates with leadership.</li><li>
Assist with video editing, multimedia content creation, and digital asset management.</li></ul>
Project and Stakeholder Management<ul><li>
Collaborate with executive leadership, department leaders, members, vendors, and cross-functional teams.</li><li>
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.</li><li>
Coordinate vendor relationships, promotional item sourcing, and marketing collateral production.</li><li>
Assist with marketing communications budget tracking and reporting.</li></ul>
Governance and Administrative Support<ul><li>
Maintain Board of Directors rosters, profile information, and related communication materials.</li><li>
Support organizational communication resource management and recordkeeping.</li><li>
Assist with special projects and administrative responsibilities as needed.</li></ul>
Work location: Smyrna, GA (Atlanta area) 
This position requires completion of a 30-day onsite training period before transitioning to a hybrid work schedule.
Work Hours/Schedule:
<ul><li>Full-time (40 hours per week)</li><li>
Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM</li><li>
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote</li></ul>

Experience and Skills:
Education and Experience:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Advertising, or a related field required.</li><li>
Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.</li><li>
Experience developing and executing marketing and communication initiatives across multiple channels.</li><li>
Experience creating content for internal and external audiences.</li><li>
Experience managing social media platforms, website content, and digital communications.</li><li>
Experience coordinating projects, events, campaigns, and stakeholder communications.</li><li>
Healthcare industry experience preferred.</li></ul>
Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong editing and proofreading abilities.</li><li>
Ability to create engaging, audience-focused content across multiple communication channels.</li><li>
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.</li><li>
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.</li><li>
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, or similar design tools preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools.</li><li>
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and website content management preferred.</li><li>
Experience with video editing and multimedia content development preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with AP Stylebook standards preferred.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.</li><li>
Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and represent the organization professionally.</li></ul>
