The Materials Manager is responsible for managing the inventory and procurement of supplies for the Ambulatory Surgery Center. Collaborates with the Leadership Team, Vendors, Physicians and Team Members to determine supply and material needs. As well as coordinate, train and supervise all processes related to Supply Chain and Inventory Control. All duties will follow the philosophy of the facility and standards of practice.</div><div><h6 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Essential Functions</b></h6></div><ul><li>
Procures all supplies for the center, including supplies, specialty items, and implants for surgical cases.</li><li>
Monitor and maintain any consignment inventory.</li><li>
Works with clinical Team to ensure accuracy of the Physician preference cards.</li><li>
Builds and maintains relationships with vendors, holding them accountable to the center's policies and procedures.</li><li>
Works to maintain cost management of all supplies.</li><li>
Responsible for the maintenance of Materials Management Software for the facility.</li><li>
Stock and replenishing of supplies throughout the facility.</li><li>
Manages appropriate par levels for all supplies.</li><li>
Rotate supplies and expiration dates to minimize waste.</li><li>
Assists with coordinating Vendor trays, equipment, and/or specialty items needed for specific cases.</li><li>
Maintain organization and neatness of work area.</li><li>
Comply with AHCA, AAAHC, JCAHO, OSHA, and all regulatory standards.</li><li>
Recognize the importance of teamwork.</li><li>
Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service programs, and the Quality Meetings.</li><li>
Participates in all scheduled inventories and oversees monthly cycle counts and outdates.</li><li>
Ability to set priorities with time management and organizational skills.</li><li>
Report to supervisor needed repairs or maintenance of equipment or building.</li><li>
Complete variance reports as necessary</li><li>
Assume other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with center policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.</li><li>
Maintains compliance with Surgery Center policies and procedures.</li></ul><div><h6 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Perform clinical duties as needed if assigned based on an additional signed job description.</li></ul></div><div><h6 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Education/Training</b></h6></div><div><ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED required.</li><li>
Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred.</li><li>
Minimum of 2+ years of purchasing in a healthcare setting or equivalent clinical experience.</li></ul></div><div><h6 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Licensure/Certification</b></h6></div><div><ul><li>
Basic Life Support BLS</li></ul></div><div><h6 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Experience</b></h6></div><ul><li>
Experience with Materials Management software required.</li><li>
Knowledge of supplies and equipment utilized in the Operating Room, Endoscopy Procedure Room, and Sterile Processing.</li><li>
Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems and processes, and proficiency in MS Office.</li></ul></div><br>
